Chris Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman pinned the blame for his side's defeat on Saturday firmly at the feet (or hands) of referee Phil Dowd.

'It was disappointing, traumatic, frustrating,' he raged.

'And it was all caused by the referee's first-half performance, which affected the result.

'We should have had a free-kick for their first goal. Then, I thought it was a penalty on Clinton Morrison.

'Dowd has had an absolute nightmare and he will get away with it.'

I will have to look at the highlights maybe, but from my memory of the game I think he is talking crap! :disapointed2se:

I heared him on way home he was talking crap. His arguement was that there had been a foul in the box on Morrison, If Morrison tried to stay on his feet and tried to get to the ball there would have been a good chance they would have got a penalty, but because he went down like a rottweiller on a sausage he waved play on as the ref seen it as a dive. Basically he was cheating and should have had a card. Adebola had a right to go for a lose ball. There keeper gt injured in the challenge, boo hoo it's football it happens. Get over it Coventry you was outplayed.

I don't know how he could moan about the first goal- after seeing the replays it was definately not a foul.

Not sure about the penalty decision- seen them given but they guy should have scored anyway without going down.

Basically I knew he would moan, he needs to learn some RESPECT.

I always had time for Coleman as a player and as a manager especially when he was at Fulham but listening to him whinge on Sky last night has left me very surprised and disapointed.

Usually he's able to be objective but yesterday he simply took all the credit away from City by blaming Phil Dowd for his clubs defeat.3-0 to the referee was it Chris?

BTW - whose going to phone up Gaunt on Tuesday?

From what I could see of the first goal, the keeper collided with his own defender not Adebola, and Adebola fell next to them enabling him to hook the ball into the net.

That's how I saw it too - and thought Ade had his feet taken away from him which is why he ended up on floor before scoring. Not a lot of protests from Cov defenders either ...

This is absolutely spot on. From slow-mo replays, the keeper without doubt collided with his own player. Coleman is talking out of his backside on that one.

NO SIR, NO! :disapointed2se:

I refuse to accept that there is anyone in English football presently to hold a light to Colin. Coleman was merely throwing the toys somewhat and made himself look more than a little Welsh in the process.

Colin however after witnessing two solid gold nailed on sendings off yesterday of two of his charges said after....(reaches into his pocket for a piece of paper)...'I have got a fax here from Sir Alex here saying today's referee is totally useless and a disgrace but if I said that I'd be in trouble'.

Follow THAT!

If Chris Coleman is Neal Warnock ( Colin W*nk*r )

in disguise, lets have an equally witty anagram.......

difference is that Warnock for all his faults can be quite funny, and he did admit we deserved to win the pray off games. Coleman is yet another gobshite bitter ex prem manager, who's crap, and knows he is...

colemans just a whinger

same when he was at fulham....always someone elses fault, never his or his teams

deles goal was fine

from what i can tell the goalie jumped into him, past one of his own defenders

dele just stood his ground (albeit 3 foot in the air !)

come on you super reds....another 43 results like that and we can forget the playoffs !

:devil::devil::devil:

in fairness, Colin's line was quite funny.
