daisybcfc
GJ has been found out, he is nothiong more than a League 1 manager at best. Time to get a real manager in place before it's to late. What idiot club to stick him on a 5 year deal. Also only a week or two back fools on here were scraed he may get pouched by a Prem club. So many on here live in Noddy land. Shut up you goon

Red_Mat
The howler today gave a corner away, not a goal, not a free kick in a dangerous position or a pen. Whilst it would have been better not to give a corner away, they scored because we marked poorly at a corner. But I see what you mean with your point. When strikers miss we all forget it, a keeper has little or no margin. Well, the point is also that one goalkeeper's mistakes seem to get remembered more than anothers. I'm not comparing goalies with strikers because you can't.
Rocky
That's right, cos I watch football with my eyes shut! I'm a big fan of Emile Heskey, and he's probably as close a style of player as you'll get to Adebola, but he doesn't score many. The problem with Adebola is he has lost any pace he had as he is getting old; he doesn't keep hold of the ball nearly half as much as he should; and for a supposedly big striker wins practically nothing in the air! I am not just judging him on his goalscoring ability, but his all-round game, and that has been distinctly lacking so far this season. In his 45 mins against Plymouth, John Akinde caused more trouble for their defence than Adebola had for all the defences he played against this season! Whooa there mary, that's your opinion and I respect it
Riaz
I realise he's a striker but has he ever been prolific? there's more to his game. If only people can see that whats he offer apart from winning headers (aimless headers at that)

Rob k
0-1, Basso howler led to corner! Yeah but Basso was amazing last season don't you know so is beyond critism from some. Hes now cost us 2 goals in 2 games. I'm begining to get annoyed with our starting lines up, what the hell does adebola have to do to be dropped as hes terrible even though every single ball goes through him, what does he offer the side?? why cant we just play to our best players strengths instead of his, trundle and maynard is the way forward. Why don't we just start with our best team??? Weale Orr Carey Fonts mccalister Wilson Noble Elliott Mcindoe Trundle Maynard were now 2 down again, give it 5 and Trunds will be on and asked to save the day again, Its a joke. brad blit
Its been the same old problem today with us not creating enough chances! Adebola is causing some probs but hardly looks like scoring and most of his headers don't reach our 2nd striker. We need to start playing football again and using our strengths so I hope Johnson starts realising we need to get back to playing 'proper football' becasue we havnt been for weeks and now the results are starting to confirm that Trundle is on...... well thats a start
shire_redz
Pre-season non-strengthening haunting us now I am afraid. Add to that the fact we're missing McCombe and we're in for a tough time until at least January. Johnson, as much as I wish to support him, seems reluctant to play the Trundles/Nobles of this world who can actually create something. How many goals do we seriously expect from Dele and an inexperienced Akinde(who will come good in time)?

brad blit
No we strengthened but Williams should be played in the centre where he's best and will certainley offer more of an attacking / scoring threat that LJ, and Maynard will only get goals with proper service

I'd totally agree with that as our best team - although it's a close one between Wilson/Sproule/Williams on the right. I think they're all a much of a muchness, and need a run of games in a team playing well to see who would be the most confident. The thought of the passing and movement a Noble/Elliott/McIndoe/Trundle midfield would produce, is so exciting, it's almost unnatural - and, err, perhaps a little too embarrassing... But, finally, we might end those needless long ballsto the corner flag for Adebola to (slowly) chase; those cross-field passes from the full-backs to the oppostie wings that invariably go out for a throw and those ridiculous chipped balls straight through from Johnson which always go straight to the opposition... We'd see some beautiful through balls, dummies, switching of positions, one-twos, can you imagine Noble and Trundle together?!? Ok, they'd probably both be ######ed by the 60th minute, but as long as we have subs on the bench that's fine. People complain they wouldn't be able to last a match, well it doesn't matter, does it? We're having to change three players in every match at the moment, anyway to pull the two goals back that we conceded in the first half! Please, GJ, please let's play some beautiful football.....
