red man dan
Right, there has been some in house squabbling going on in here over the last couple of weeks/month so lets forget all the LJ/LT and 'tactics' threads for a minute and concentrate on something different. Here it is, simple, if you could pick any City squad from the years you have been watching City, who would make your team. You have to have seen the players mind, so for example as i am very young( :noexpression: ) i cant pick players such as Gerry Gow and so forth. Mine would be: Basso Jim Brennan* Rob Newman Shaun Taylor Darren Barnard Junior Bent 'Jacki' Dziekkanowski Marvin Elliot Brian Tinnion Andy Cole Paul Agostino Subs: Martin Scott Louis Carey Gary Owers Shaun Goater Tony Thorpe *technically a left back but he filled for us a fair few times at right back

Wolloped it in from by the touch line from i like to remember was at least 35 yards out....mind you it was about 30. I was sat gobsmacked in the williams behind the dugout. Amazing and a City memory i havent forgotten, mind you over time i began to like his fellow Aussie Paul Agostino more and after his goal at AG against the gas, he became a hero. Argh, Nostalgia. red man dan
But I can. The 75/76 promotion winning team: Haha, you see, my plan is coming together nicely.....this was clearly just a sly attempt to gauge the aproximate ages of my fellow posters. So far Nick J you are in the lead.. No, just joking of course, its good to see some old names up there, and it brings back some good city memories, you seem to forget the bad when you look back in time. I'm still a little upset at not being able to include certain players, Gary Shelton, Scott Murray spring straight to mind, but given Scotts recent MOM performaces in the commentary box, he is certainly my number one radio man, but he was very close to my team. Like maesknoll Red i found it very hard and had two if not three for each position.

havanatopia
Very difficult…… Two for most positions. GK Gibson or Basso in goal, but Cashley pushing them close. RB: Sweeny (Llewellyn)… CB: Merrick (Newman) CB: Carey ( ShaunTaylor) LB: Barnard (Brennan) LM/LW: Walsh ( Whitehead) CM: Gow (Shelton) CM: Mann RM: Whitehead (Murray) CF: ‘Super’ Bob Taylor ( reluctantly, because of his attitude – Cole) CF: Cheesely (Goater) Sorry to be boring but i cannot fault this selection. Actually, i would need to put Walshy in there.
