Reading through all these sides can't believe nobody has mentioned the best

Right Back ever to of worn the shirt in the last 30 years, I know he didn't play

many games but if your picking on ability alone it has to be Clayton Blackmore - he was different gravy

Ok, having seen my first match in 1962, I'd go for:

Basso

Carey Newman Hunter Merrick

Whitehead Gow Elliott Tinnion

Atyeo Cole

Subs: Shaw, Collier, Shelton, Murray, Taylor

...and definitely NO Djiekanowski!

why the hell not??????

Jacki, Bob Taylor and Tommy were the only 3 players I've been devistated that they left the City

Because a) the signing of Djiekanowski resulted in the sale of Bob Taylor, the biggest mistake of the last 20 years; and b) for all his skill and tricks, he wasn't a team player and in the end did more harm to the squad than good. Fabulous to watch though, I don't deny that.

Funny you should say that, as i was thinking when i put him in my team that same thing. He would not be player for example that GJ would have at the club today. Back then i only saw the good sides of him, his ability to entertain, but I'm not sure i would view him the same today.
