Basically he said that Johnson doesnt actually get on very well with the players at all and that there is a feeling of being bullied amongst the squad. If this is the case then we are clearly going to achieve nothing more with him in charge. Upto now the players have bought into what GJ was trying to achieve because he has largely been successful. However the players are now as frustrated as the supporters at having to play direct football whilst out of position and there are rumours of numerous dressing room issues. screech Posted December 19, 2009 Report Share Posted December 19, 2009 It's not Johnsons job to get on with the players, I'd rather he kept his distance to be honest. It's his job to pick the team, formation and tactics and send them out with clear instructions of how to win a game of football, and he is not doing this currently. If they want to make friends with Gary Johnson they should leave now and find another club and socialise with him outside of work, his job is to coach them and manage the club to the best of his ability, if he does that well enough the players will respect him for it and they wont care whether he is or isn't their friends. GJ, I think has got as far as he can with us and its time to move on if we are to progress from a sound position and not from a position of desperation. Today I saw a game that I swear I have seen many times before, These problems have been around for over a year and you have failed to sort them out, You have shown you can't sort them out and you have run out of ideas. Just listened to your interview and WTF your blaming the fans for not getting a 2nd because we didn't get behind the, Johnson even by your standards that is poor. Even tho we went 1 up we all know we were still shit and didn't really deserve to be winning. Give us something proper to shout about and we will shout about it and stop being abusive. I do care that we are going backwards and i don't believe that is due to the manager 'losing the dressing room'. Even if in the future it's proven to be true it is still NOT A FACT. there is no certainty regarding this. I think the club would be better off without fans like yourself who take any opportunity to make some gossip... but there we go. this club has to be one of the only clubs to have such a negative and boring set of fans... The football served up this year is probably no more than half the "fans" deserve. Just get on with it, get behind them and if nothing changes (and yes i agree there is plenty of room for improvment... we're shite.) then we can consider your pathetic conspiracies. Our supporters are no worse than other clubs, its crap to suggest that we deserve to watch shoddy football. There will always be tossers, and there are some on here, but the majority of BCFC fans are loyal, and get behind their team. There might well be trouble in the dressing room, in fact it would not be a surprise. But stop trying to be a superfan and suggesting others should go and watch their football somewhere else.
