Ryan 7
who?
DaveF
18 year old midfielder from Northampton, rumoured to be part of a deal that would see Akinde go the other way. At 18 years old I doubt he's the answer to our creative midfielder problem!
USA.Red
Hopefully he is another Albert.
Robbored
""At 18 years old I doubt he's the answer to our creative midfielder problem"" Caulker was 18 when first started for City and kook what a great influence he's been.
Monkeh
from spurs and northampton are two different things rob..... I do think Millen has an eye for a player tho, he hasn't signed any dross (Rose is still a good player on his day but a typical winger even murray played 1 good game followed by 2 bad ones)

BCFC Jordan
Why judge a player's quality over the club they're from. Albert Adomah anyone? In fact people were having doubts over Caulker when we first heard about the signing.

DaveF
That's not the point. How is it not the point? I said at 18 Jacobs might not be the answer to our creative midfield problems! The entire point is he's very young and might not be expected to make an instant impact.

DaveF
but he MIGHT be, age isn't an issue, if he is good enough hes old enough MIGHT being the key word! I agree that if he's good enough he's old enough.
BCFC Jordan
MIGHT being the key word! I agree that if he's good enough he's old enough. Might being the key word when you say might not be good enough also haha. It's not the age thing that annoys me it's the fact that people assume he won't be good just because he's from Northampton. Now I'm not saying he will be good it's just unfair to judge a player just because they're playing at a lower level.

I just think expecting an 18 year old to be the answer is maybe putting too much pressure on him.
USA.Red
Well I think he is worth the gamble. He is only 18 so I'm sure his wages won't be much and we probably won't be paying a lot for him if he is part of a swap deal with Akinde.

Wouldn't even really be a gamble, like you said, his wages won't be much and if he's involved in a swap deal with Akinde nor will the fee, we need to be signing promising young players, especially as no-one from the academy seems to be breaking through at the moment. chipdawg
Firstly, i think this may have originated on football-rumours.com, so is therefore about as trustworthy as a red-trousered architect. Secondly, i'm sure i've read that he's a winger, so therefore not a creative centre mid at all. Sorry for being a kill-joy

beaverface
Isn't out two Irish players, Keohane and the other player exciting central midfielders also? If that's the case, I wouldn't imagine we'd bring in another, unless they're much better than these two.

Red Star
Please don't shoot me down. I can understand why we are looking for a creative midfielder when we have the England U21 Danny Rose with us. Why not play him in the middle when fit.
