only 4 of tonights starting 11 were signed by Johnson. Would have been 2 if Rose and Stead were fit.

while I agree the squad was imbalance when he left that was a year ago.

but we can't sign players until we get rid of the dross that we still have left over from that regime, the league has got better just look at the quality of loan players in the championship. GJ did a good job but his reign was far from perfect, he spunked a fair bit of cash on contracts and loans etc etc

It would be great to put all this in the past but the repucussions are now in full fruition, shame as our memories of him should be only positive, but that's football.

Just saying, in the last 2 games we have conceeded 1 goal, the previous 2 yielded 7 defensively we are improving, once Stead returns the goals will come.

Millen said he's doing all he can in the transfer Market, it looks like we just a)can't compete financially or b) we aren't that attractive an option, which can't be true having lured Stead, Caulker & Rose here.

..........I can't see how that's Millens fault, someone must be held accountable?(blame culture), the question is can we afford relegation, NO.

Looks like we might have over played Stead with his ankle injury.

Wouldn't be surprised if we hear he's going to be out for some time so I'm certainly not counting on Stead being our saviour.

Not getting new players in isn't an option - this team will be relegated.

.....but Lansdown had to sanction these spends, so surely we should be asking questions of SL?

That does not make it ok though !

So we are saying that SL will not back KM in the transfer market ?

To be fair SL had a history of backing managers, but in KM this trend has suddenly stopped !

So who's fault is it ?

He has backed him, too the tune of over £1m already, which is on top what he gave coppell.

But as lansdown has said over the last 18months, we need to reduce the squad size, which Millen has been told he has to do before adding any more.

So far he's brought in 4 (2loans) and got 3 of the bill.

I was there and I think my summary of the game was pretty spot on. Two bad teams battling it out to see who was slightly worse, we really had nothing going forward at all... No-one had a particularly good game the only entertaining part was some of the stupid songs we sang!

in which all 4 of those were successful! If it weren't for Pitman, Stead and Caulker we'd be seriously in it right now, albeit Caulker was 'recommended' to be signed by Twentyman and Stead was in talks with us whilst Coppell was still here, but Millen has made 2 of his own real signings in Stead and Pitman and those two are the only real successful players we have in the squad right now. You can go on and say that it's all down to Millen but he's come into a squad full of players he didn't buy himself or really want/need in his team. On the other hand, he's had more than enough time to make his impact on the side, maybe he's just out of ideas?!

All new managers come to clubs with other managers players but he knew what he had to work with so can't really see the problem

The way things are going you can't help but wonder if SL really thinks of KM as a long term appointment.

We'll be getting rid of about 10 players in a few months anyway - surely if he wants the manager to be a success he needs to back him NOW, big squad or not.

At the moment it's in the lap of the God's whether we go down or not, we don't seem to be taking any measures to try and ensure we avoid it.

Worth condsidering for those who not already have done it.

I trust Steve Lansdowns judgement in backing his manager whenever can be justified.
