Real Tactics

There has been numerous threads made about Keith not choosing the right team or using the right tactics well lets talk both, not a little I'd play 442 end of...like this:

Gk: James

RB: Spence (Full Back - Support - Occasional overlap & run but will remain defensive for long periods)

RCB: Wilson (Centre Back - Defend - Stay safe try to play it out of defence but take no risks)

LCB: Fontaine (Centre Back - Defend - Same as RCB)

LB: Edwards (Full Back - Support - Same as RB)

RDM: Cisse (Anchor Man - Defend - Sits protecting the back four & keeps it simple at all times)

LDM: Kilkenny (Deep Lying Playmaker - Support - Will pick up the ball from deep & play simple passes to other team mates whilst moving forward to support the forwards)

RAM: Adomah (Winger - Attack - Will look to beat his man with pace & dribbling, whilst looking for crossing/passing options in the final third)

LAM: Woolford (Wide Midfielder - Support - Will look to sit deeper than an out & out winger & play angled through balls plus launch crosses from deep)

CAM: Campbell-Ryce (Trequartista - Attack - Does very little defensively & simply drifts round looking for space to make himself available for teams mates & will spray passes around the final third)

ST: Pitman (Target Man - Attack - Will look to have the ball played to his feet & Will be used as the main outlet in & around the box)

Philosophy: Fluid

Match Plan: Attacking, short passing football whilst slowly probing the final third & waiting for a good opportunity to appear. The defence/midfield will look to play free-flowing flowing football but will not take any risks & fullbacks will venture forward in risk-free situations.

Harito.

4-5-1?

Sound philosophy but unfortunately your're asking players with little or no coaching in that style of football to suddenly adapt and start playing like Arsenal.

And.....your midfield has no decent ball winner and would get over run too easy.

Kind of like 4231, I know our players are not great passers but if you cant pass the ball 5 yards then you shouldn't be a footballer, its the simplest thing to do. Spudski - I firmly believe that we shouldn't have to we should be for forcing others to change there tactic when they play us, especially at home we should be controlling games, rarely let the opposition touch the ball let alone attack but as many have stated we don't have that agression or no fear mentality but we need to install that in the players. Ball winner would be Cisse ?
