Super Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? Your week will get worse.
Robbored Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? Of course we can. 4-5-1 away from home works well. No-one expected anything from the Leicester game and if City can win there they can win at Elland Road.
Slave to the rhythm Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? Theoretically, anything's possible. However, this is BCFC we are talking about. Prepare yourself for a spineless 2-0 defeat with the manager saying afterwards that "this will be a good game to analyse".
Monkeh Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Aye it does robbo it's designed to catch teams on the break
WhistleHappy Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 ....just in case it becomes a choice between no hope & bob hope http://youtu.be/ENISgdSgPBY
ralphindevon Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 You could come to Lords tomorrow and watch Somerset in the 40 over final instead...........oh hang on a minute they've come runners up 6 times in the last 3 seasons, maybe not.

glynriley Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Rovers won on Tuesday , so yes anything is possible
Guest Brislingwood Red Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? Sorry fella it's a 2-1 defeat for me with Millen stating that we won the second half.
Guest Fireman Sam Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? NO! Millen for the Sack
fka dagest Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Millen being sacked/resigning is my best hope at the moment.

Nogbad the Bad Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Leicester were very up to that game We were lucky to play them then FS, did your post make any sense before you edited it?
Alex#40 Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Millen being sacked/resigning is my best hope at the moment. Never! He won't go and we won't sack him, they're all spineless. I do however await Keith's usual spouting of crap afterwards. I am currently waiting for, "We're only 2 wins off the play offs and if you offered me that position with 10 games to go I'd take it". The man is a baffoon.

Slave to the rhythm Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 That's BUFFOON !! Yes, it's defiantly buffoon. I wish some of you would learn to spell. The number of spelling mistakes on here is rediculous. I blame our so-called local public service broadcaster.
Nogbad the Bad Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I can see us getting at least a point tomorrow: Leeds aren't actually very good and have only won twice this season. City are obviously more likely to score away from home. KM has history of getting an unexpected result when he really needs one. Having said that I notice Becchio has been declared fit after long term injury, and new signings Mikael Forssell and Mika Vayrynen could make their debuts. Let's face it anything could happen - we could be absolutely hammered, but I've got a feeling we won't be.

Nogbad the Bad Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Heh heh... "Defiantly"? I think Venus was hoping someone would point out his other deliberate mistake as well Atlanta.
Pete1975Legend Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Don't wanna lose but if I costs millen his job it won't be so bad

Red Robin Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? A Leeds win,by how many not a clue. It would be a miracle if we get anyrhing however miracles can happen

Slave to the rhythm Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Oh, did somebody spot something wrong with my spelling? Silly me. Anyway, back on topic....I hope we can nick a point tomorrow but I'm not optimistic.
reddogkev Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Does every thread on here get hijacked by the fans who want Millen sacked? It does leave me wondering whether anyone actually wants the guy to succeed and remain in the job? Personally, I'm hoping we can buck the trend of sacking managers before they have really had time to learn their craft whilst in the hotseat. I reckon Millen should retain the manager's job until at least chrimbo, it only takes a couple of wins on the bounce and then confidence and form could quickly multiply. All I say is give the guy more time to adapt and try to fix some of the failings. We're not getting hammered by teams and managed to stifle Brighton for much of last saturday's game. I look at the team and the players and it seems clear that we are not far away from being a decent championship team.
Mr Popodopolous Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 4-5-1 can work on the road and even at home with certain caveats. 1) The home side is defensively sound enough. Well we weren't at the start of the season but we're definitely moving in that direction. Check. 2) Strikers or mids are clinical when the chances arrive. Our lack of goals is a concern, especially at home. 3) The side playing said formation breaks with speed and guile. We do not do this, well not at home anyway- we seem to surge up the pitch and then it slows right down. There is a time/place for slowing it down but hitting a side on the break ain't it. If anyone saw Birmingham v Braga last night, there was one great break. Birmingham corner, broke down- around 10-30 seconds later in about 3 or 4 passes there was a dangerous Braga attack in and around the box of the hosts. This is a big failing with the way we set up in this formation, at least at home. One great example of a rapid, incisive break- Napoli's goal at Man City. Look at it, so quick and incisive.
Garland-sweden Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Someone out there please offer me some crumbs of comfort, can we win tomorrow? Yes we can. Dont think Leeds are better this season than last. They are favourites but I think we can surprise. Its a tight leauge. I will listening to player and keep my fingers crossed. COYR!!!

glynriley Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Apoligies. No need for APOLOGIES mate (I see what you done there) But if you're going to abuse the guy , get it right , eh!!!!!!!

No it cant and never will for a team like city unless you have.....Nani, Gerrard, Fabregas, Lampard, Young in midfield and a 20 year old Shearer up front....one up front with our midfield we are gonna win jack S**t

Nogbad the Bad Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 A Leeds win,by how many not a clue. It would be a miracle if we get anyrhing however miracles can happen Leeds home results this season: Bradford (Cup) Won 3-2 Middlesbro' .... Lost 0-1 Hull............... Won 4-1 Palace .......... Won 3-2 In direct contrast to us Leeds fans have already witnessed 10 goals by their team in their 4 home games, averaging 2.5 per game. Their defence gives some cause for hope though as they've conceded in every home game.
Nogbad the Bad Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Put it another way, 75% of the time they win at home. When they win they score at least 3 goals.
Slave to the rhythm Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Put it another way, 75% of the time they win at home. When they win they score at least 3 goals. So, a repeat of last year's Elland Road fiasco then? That was the infamous "Nicky Hunt" game.

WhistleHappy Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Post of the year. 'Post' of the decade ( the one at the rear of City's goal vs Palace 09 ) - doncha just love that post? (recreated brilliantly here by a Palace fan) - http://youtu.be/XLgXdPfNdhs ENJOY!
InCider Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Things have been far worse. Expect a one all draw. I'm with Tommy on this one. I'm going for 1-1. Elliott to score.

In that clip I showed Barry lost the ball deep in the Napoli half- maybe what half a minute later they had gone a goal down. Probably less actually, devastating break that.
