Good half, not the half of a team struggling at the foot.

Lots of effort from Maynard, Adomah threatening while Campbell-Ryce has had a couple of penetrating runs, almost scoring late in the half when producing a fine save at a stretch after curling from the edge.

Due to work committments this is my first league game of the season (saw vs Swindon), we've looked decent. Reading have had a few forays, one James save in particular springs to mind, but the thing that strikes most is how incredibly direct we are.

Got the ball down a couple of times but apart from the intricate move leading to Maynard hitting the bar, any such passages simply lead to a pump down the field.

A loss from this position is not only disastrous, it's unthinkable.
