Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 James, Skuse, Stewart, Fontaine, Nyatanga, JCR, Elliot, Kilkenny, Adomah, Maynard, Stead Subs: Pitman Clarkson Cisse McGivern Gerken
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Nice to see Fontaine & Stead back in the team. Worry is no Cisse starting. In Del we trust.
Kermit the Frog Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Not suprised to see Clarky on the bench

Kermit the Frog Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Not suprised to see Clarky on the bench
Redhyde Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'll stick my neck out and say i don't like it! No specialist fullbacks, the Elliot Kilkenny two man midfield that gets over-run, exposed and isn't creative as Kilkenny sits deep and Elliot can't get forward as he leaves a huge hole.. Delighted to see Stead back, we need him with our poor distribution from the defense. We shall hope and see! Birmingham are fundamentally better all around the pitch though so i hate to be too critical even if we get beaten soundly. Settle for a point now! These Bolasie and Taylor signings look better and better....
SJC Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 No suprise with Stead, full of running and effort when he's got a point to prove. Suprised to see Cisse on the bench.
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 I don't think Birminghams line up is that strong.. Some good players but some average ones also.
Roadrunner Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 It will take a couple of matches to sort out. Looks like he been getting advise from the usual suspects. HIS team v Barnsley will be of more interest.
Tom Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 The forum is quite quiet this afternoon, A big attendance in store perhaps? I will have to make do with Player! I personally don't like the defence. I would prefer to line up with Spence Fontaine Wilson McGivern. But each to his own. Hope the lads prove me wrong, must have done enough to impress in training.
screech Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Cross your fingers and hope that the defence will play above themselves today. I imagine we will try and get on the front foot from the off, hope this doesn't leave our defence wide open because that's where our huge problems are. Optimistic we can do enough for a draw today.
bucksred Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 very odd no Cisse and Pitman...would prefer those two to start rather than Stead..but whadda I know. Defensively Fontaine worries me Del boy knows what to do though..
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 He's most likely gone from who's impressed in training. Will take a few weeks before he finds out his own 11. In Del we trust.
ralphindevon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I think he would of taken a lot of advice from Wiggers, I think we need to wait a few games before we'll see his team.
Guest Dubsmith Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Hello OTIB. Finally signed up after years of lurking. Good timing to welcome the Mcinnes era. Gutted couldn't be there today but still buzzing for first time in aages. Nice to see Stead given a start. COYR!
Guest terjon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 IMO The team selection dosn't bother me, He has to pick his first 11 and then start to understand who is best for each position. The most important thing is Motivation, Application and Confidence, I believe he will improve things all round, This will be a different set of players now.
DaveF Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Sky Sports said city were on top atm. Key player Albert Adomah.
havanatopia Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Argh well.. its all up from here. I had this down as a 1-1 anyway.. plenty time mon

Northampton Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Sounds like we are having some good chances. I think it's a big worry if we are playing well, putting in 100% and not getting any results.
Kermit the Frog Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Good god how are we not doing a united
Atlanta_Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Worrying again that we haven't had a shot on target in 40 minutes.
screech Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Defending is laughable. It's nothing new though is it. Defending was laughable last season at times even with Caulker. Millen never addressed this area in the summer, it's going to take much more than three days on the training pitch to get that right.
North Lincs Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Come on lads chin up give us something to cheer about !
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Looks like Del has told Adomah and JCR to get as many crosses in as possible.
ralphindevon Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Think we'll see the Hitman in the second half. Hope so anyway.
City_USA Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I hope so too Definately a player who will be out to prove himself to the new gaffer and prove that he is the future
Bcfc3660 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Del can turn this around, maybe not this game but this season for sure. We sound lively, we are not being walked over. COME ON YOU REDS!
The hand of RO'D Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How anyone can say DMC shouldnt be playing players here or there just amazes me, hes been at the club for 3 days for gods sake? It will take him WEEKS to find his starting 11 so there will be some experiments, cagey displays and results that wont come instantly. Get real people
screech Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Tough match to come into for your first game. The damage has been done by Millen only getting 6 points before this game. 3 days training with this defence, thats all.
Admin Ian M Posted October 23, 2011 Admin Posted October 23, 2011 Worrying again that we haven't had a shot on target in 40 minutes. I remember their keeper tipping an Elliot volley onto the bar :s
downendcity Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How anyone can say DMC shouldnt be playing players here or there just amazes me, hes been at the club for 3 days for gods sake? It will take him WEEKS to find his starting 11 so there will be some experiments, cagey displays and results that wont come instantly. Get real people Millen had 18 mongths and didn't know his best team so DM will need a week at least!
Mrs Shortie Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How anyone can say DMC shouldnt be playing players here or there just amazes me, hes been at the club for 3 days for gods sake? It will take him WEEKS to find his starting 11 so there will be some experiments, cagey displays and results that wont come instantly. Get real people Was just saying that myself. He will sort it out I am sure. Let's get behind the team. COYRs
Kermit the Frog Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Mcgivern for Skuse, Tangs to right back - hmmmm
Atlanta_Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I remember their keeper tipping an Elliot volley onto the bar :s I was quoting the stats on World.
REBS14 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How anyone can say DMC shouldnt be playing players here or there just amazes me, hes been at the club for 3 days for gods sake? It will take him WEEKS to find his starting 11 so there will be some experiments, cagey displays and results that wont come instantly. Get real people completley agree, did anyone else hear the comment made on the radio - some guy phoned in and said we have appointed the wrong man, shouldve been robins - what a **** ! It will take a while to sort but Del will come good
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Fair play to Del for spotting something that isn't working. Something Millen lacked.. being decisive.
Andy082005 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Unfortunately we have a squad of weak, gutless losers. It's so easy for Birmingham
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Unfortunately we have a squad of weak, gutless losers. It's so easy for Birmingham Birmingham aren't finding it easy at all...
Guest Dubsmith Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Unfortunately we have a squad of weak, gutless losers. It's so easy for Birmingham What an incredible statement
REBS14 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Unfortunately we have a squad of weak, gutless losers. It's so easy for Birmingham huuuu
Kermit the Frog Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Sounds like Adomah is on fire, we need Pitman on for Stead and i reckon we will score
Andy082005 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 What an incredible statement How is it? We are having more of the ball going forward but they are dealing with it very easily
Mr Popodopolous Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How we playing? Stats suggest we're playing ok posession wise, albeit no shots on target yet.
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Adomah is clearly our best player, Maynard who? Gotta keep Albert!
Superjack Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Sounds like Adomah is on fire, we need Pitman on for Stead and i reckon we will score Pitman on for Stead.
Guest Dubsmith Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 How is it? We are having more of the ball going forward but they are dealing with it very easily Agree totally. How could I not? We do sound to be having the better of the play. And are struggling to make much of it, which has been one of our long standing problems. Very easily is a little strong. Your other post however contains emotion, opinion and not a lot of facts. I don't want to argue with you. That's not what I am on here for. I do read the forum and know what a warzone it has become recently. That's your opinion this is mine. I sure you are a decent enough bloke. Can we leave it at that?
REBS14 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 tick tick tick - gone a bit quiet - comon lads
Andy082005 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 We're playing ok but, as usual, there's absolutely no end product. In a nut shell this. I think we've look poor in the final third today.
North Lincs Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 In a nut shell this. I think we've look poor in the final third today. The stats say it all 0 attempts on target . . .
Atlanta_Red Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 The stats say it all 0 attempts on target . . . with, in some peoples' opinions, the most lethal strikeforce in the Championship....
REBS14 Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 There seems to be no pressure, should be chuking the kitchen sink at them
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 23, 2011 Author Posted October 23, 2011 Unlucky, pushed forward and conceded a second.
