I agree all of Robbored's post is negative, well done, someone has finally noticed. No doubt he will reply or attempt to with a "witty" remark.

Dear oh dear.................what's 'negative' about my post? Do you mean ''Maynard will be off as well I reckon. Why else would his house in Portzed be up for sale?'' or maybe my comment about Fontaine ''It's likely that Saints will back in January and it will be difficult to keep him. The potential to be playing in the PL next season would be too great for most Championship players and who can blame him?''

If all you see is 'negative' then you should try to cheer up.<br style="color: rgb(41, 41, 41); font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; background-color: rgb(250, 251, 252); ">

Seems to me there are two possible scenarios here:

1 - He's off in January. If true then at least we'll see an end to this soap opera and actually get some dosh for him. Would seem unlikely that he's off at the end of the season - why sell and move now and then have to find rented accommodation around Bristol for him and his new family. In any event, a big move in the summer would have the new club sorting out the move.

2 - He's finally recognised that he won't get a move to the Prem any time soon, has decided to stay in Bristol near his wife's family but needs a different house now the family is growing.

On reflection, and the more I think of it, it looks like option 2 to me - top players moving to other clubs don't need to sell first - they get help, bridging finance etc..

May I be the first to predict that he's going to sign a new contract and stay with us.

Just what we need, more idiotic idle speculation. You'd think that people would learn that jumping to ridiculous conclusions based on circumstantial or second hand hearsay makes them mentally deficient.

You could have picked any post to bring up the biggest WUM around, but why this one? If anything it reads as a joke about the speculation surrounding him, unless you think he's planning on living in his convertible when he hits his new club.

It does not necessarily mean that because someone's house is up for sale that they want to leave that house. It could be that the Mrs is preoccupied with the new addition to the family so the new father is lonely and seeks the companionship of strangers who will visit him in his home.

Also sometimes people put their houses up for sale because they know it won't be sold because it is too expensive. This gives that person a sense of superiority as it endorses the fact that only the mega-rich can afford to purchase their property. It also provides them with the thrill of knowing that out of the blue a Hollywood film star might turn up to view their house.

The economic climate dictates that this is the best time to put your house up for sale if you don't want to move.

Furthermore, it could be that Bristol City gave Nicky Maynard a For Sale sign to carry around with him during the transfer window, and he thought it was too heavy and cumbersome so stuck it in the garden for now. It doesn't necessarily mean his house is for sale. Years ago I sold an Escort on my drive with a sign which read, For Sale £350 ono. Thankfully, the person who bought it didn't then turf me out of my home.

I hope you're right!

However I predict the December window will of course open with the panic buyers...Blackburn will be in like flynn for Maynard at a cut price 3.5M. Lets hope our current form continues and we are in the pack of about 15 clubs with an eye on the Play Offs...If not it is likely to be curtains...If you pardon the pun!

Robbered, stand firm, in the eyes of JT Maynard is Jesus of Nazereth.

If he leaves for nothing next summer then he will not be the Messiah but will be a VERY naughty boy!

Ummmmm. Is not a Bently a very powerful and quick car? Does that not mean that Maynard will get to wherever he's going a bit faster?

Even if it is to the Mall..

What an utterly ridiculous statement!

Audi R8's are just as powerful, if not more than a Bentley
