Sure, Australia is a beautiful place too, but it does well by somehow perpetuating an image that isn't entirely true. Do your mates talk of last summer?! I now live part time in London and part time in Melbourne (this is because of work) - but I still love going to see with the old folks in Downend and taking the family there.
