I suspect that maybe we wanted him but he wanted a huge signing on fee, or more wages. Now it's backfired he is trying to get back in the window. Better he gets match fitness with another club who can't possibly pay him in the long term. But as I said that is IF we really wanted him. I can't remember him standing out when he played against us so can't comment if he is any good, but I suspect if he was as good as some said when we were apparently in for him. Why was no one else? You overrate him, he isn't that good. He would be a OK signing for us I guess but if he was that good he would have been offered a contract elsewhere on better wages. I think we almost certainly dodged a bullet with this guy, he has the qualities of Copout signing, big ego, bigger pay packet and no effort, hopefully we've seen the last of those type of players.
