GrahamC
I'm struggling in my 40 years of following City to think of a player with a better goals to games ratio in a red shirt. He now has 8 goals (which is as many as anyone managed for us last season) in just 4 starts and 10 sub appearances!

Dastardly and Muttley
Still a small(ish) sample size, his ratio will undoubtedly drop as he plays more games. However, it is an incredible start to his City career and I can't think of anyone who has settled so quickly into the red shirt.
leetrundlesrightfoot
8 in his last 9! today was the first time he has scored for us and we have won!
GrahamC
mark robins andy cole Robins scored 4 in 6 games, Cole 20 in 41 neither were ever used as a sub, Davies' current record is far superior to either, as his 10 sub appearances equate to about 3 lots of 90 minutes. Brislingwood Red
It's signings like this, proven championship quality, that inspire. That's why it's crucial we push the boat out to sign Neil Danns.
Ben4BCFC
He's played 410 minutes for us, scoring 8 goals. So that's an average of under a goal a half of football (Just over 51 minutes a goal.)

spudski
This Guy is a Class act. Just need to keep him fit and wrap him in cotton wool. So much confidence and composure. Never rushes anything... and defenders stand off... sign of a good striker. One of the best signings we've had in a long time... better than Maynard by miles imho. I would say the best striker we have had since Cole. If we keep him fit, this is the type of player to build a team around. Good finisher, looks comfortable on the ball, good dead ball specialist, and doesn't seem to mind putting himself around a bit. Very very impressed, has that bit of class that has been missing since Caulker

So that's an average of under a goal a half of football (Just over 51 minutes a goal.) Wow, that is an unbelievable record. No way he'll keep that level up, but he looks a cracking player. With all the recent signings too, things really are looking up. So happy

No disrespect to City fans, but we've been so adrift from good footballers for such a long time, that most don't realise the standard of footballer to stay and do well in this division. The Standard of Davies throughout the team would be top 6. Remember this guy was disgaurded and he's our best player by miles...even over Albert... GrahamC
He certainly was not "discarded" by Derby, Clough allowed him to go South for "personal reasons" and a pretty large fee...

I think he fell out with Clough, and requested to leave. He seemed to be highly rated by the fans there as well. I am hoping he likes it here and pushes on (injuries permitting). Problem with the guy, he started as a left winger and has slowly moved infield and forward, without being given the luxury at any club of being a main striker. I would like him given that role here. I have to admit I questioned his fitness, and if it was worth the risk, I guess that jury is still out, as he gets in, gets a niggle then has to work his way back in again. I think the quality is there for all to see, it is the injury issues that will be questioned by most clubs.
