Carey 6
Is it not a 5 yr banning order for being found in possession of one at a game? Won't see me with one! But do improve atmosphere and look good
SaltfordRed
There seems to be a lot of them at games lately. I like them, and they definitely add to the atmosphere. I read somewhere online that a Chelsea fan got caught trying to take one in to the ground at Swansea; he got jail (can't remember how long for) and a 6 year banning order I think. (3)This section applies to any article or substance whose main purpose is the emission of a flare for purposes of illuminating or signalling (as opposed to igniting or heating) or the emission of smoke or a visible gas; and in particular it applies to distress flares, fog signals, and pellets and capsules intended to be used as fumigators or for testing pipes, but not to matches, cigarette lighters or heaters. Bris Red
28 days in prison is ******g ridiculous! Nothing wrong with flares if they are used in a controlled situation. I.e before the game giving enough time for the smoke to drift away etc. wonder if any Mancs got time behind bars for this? I doubt it.

Red Knowle
Clubs organise these types of displays abroad even have holders for smoke cannisters or whatever they are on fences for fans. Fans on the old EE forum with the ST looked into doing a proper display at AG but it was knocked back. not sure why.
