Del Boy For The Dons

Good luck Del.

I truly believe he's a good manager, or at least will become one. The job he took over here was a tough one for people with experience let alone someone like himself. He made some very good signings, kept us up last season when it looked an impossible job at times. His work behind the scenes benefited the club a great deal. also Unfortunately the pressure got to him a lot, constantly changing team selections, tactics that slowly became more negative whilst not improving us defensively, etc etc.

A good bloke and I'm sure he'll have learnt from his experience here, just a shame it relegated us...

P.S Please feel free to take Foster back!

Hope it works out for him, with Rangers out the picture Aberdeen are arguably the second or third biggest club with Hearts and should be challenging for cups at least.

Back to the Mickey Mouse league I think that should suit Del down to the ground.

I say good luck too him. He may have not been the best for us but I expect him to bounce back and be a success there. Alot of managers aren't successful everywhere they go, it happens quite often in football where a manager becomes successful with a club and because of that gets a job offer at another club only to fail there, get sacked and go on to be successful elsewhere. Just because he failed with us doesn't make him a bad manager. Hell, Gary Johnson had Northampton near the relegation zone before being sacked now look what he's doing at Yeovil in a higher league.

Honestly some people need to give the guy a break and just accept it didn't work out for him here, it was a difficult job whoever took over the reigns at the time. 95% of managers will both succeed and fail numerous times in their managerial career.

How can you possibly say that he is just one of the reasons. He was the major reason. In spite of signing 7 players he miserably failed to address the key problems of defence and midfield and continued to miserably fail to do anything about it.His tactics were from the Janet and John play book. He regularly sent out some of the most confused , tactically confused and passionless teams in recent history. He is the major reason we are going down along with a spineless Board who should have got rid of him sooner.

Of course he is a major reason but the players can't get away without any blame.

This 11 games 3 draws and still he thought skuse and pearson were the answer in central midfield. Guy was a joke to hire and even worse was how long he remained in charge

Goes down as one of the worst managers we have ever had at our club. Aberdeen will be fighting relegation next season.

Bit of an extreme comment isn't it? Saved us last season and had a terrific start to this... just didnt work out due to some disgraceful playing performances from some very mediocre playing staff. Good luck Del, hope it all works out.
