If you think we have got it bad at least we are not Stockport.

This sat on the final day of the conference Stockport County have to beat title chasing Kidderminster Harriers to avoid relegation.

They are fourth from bottom and if they lose or draw they will be the first former league club to be relegated from the conference and into a regional league - Blue Square prem - the Northern version of the same league as Weston.

It went down hill for them ever since they ground shared with Sale Sharks.

Didn't Scarborough drop like Boston did? Maidstone were in the League for three years; are they still going?

As for Merthyr; yes they and Aberdare were in the League.

Merthyr Town - Formed 1908. Wound up 1934. - Founder Member of Division Three 1920. Failed re-election 1930.

Aberdare Athletic - Formed 1892. Wound up 1928.- Elected to Division Three (South) 1921. Failed re-election 1927.

Is alarming. Driving down the A38 to Plymuff not that many years back and overtook a car with Stockport fans in it en-route to Gargyle.

Think they were Championship at the time and remember thinking 'I wish that was us' (we were at least a League below).

How times change.
