TinnionForEngland
Looking at pictures of their open bus celebration and seeing the players decked out in suits with RED AND BLACK ties, along with thousands of their fans dressed in red shirts with it just brought home how much i'm glad that hasn't happened here. It doesn't matter if we're Championship or on the downs, our club is the Robins, it plays in red and the identity should be respected and not changed, they even had Malaysian flags with what is meant to be the 'welsh dragon' on the front, WTF. Their players also chanted anti Swansea songs at the parade whilst Bellamy just stood there looking really embarrased the whole way through. Even he knows they've whored themselves out. Bristol City and proud, and even prouder on a day like yesterday seeing that.

They aren't BCFC therefore f..k em. Until we are once again playing competitive matches against I couldn't give a toss what they do

BigTone
How would we all feel if an investor came in and took us to the Holy Grail in Blue & White Quarters ? I for one would be jumping from the Suspension Bridge. I would rather play non league in our colours and with our history than sell out to a Franchise no matter what the rewards

We are a poor 3rd division club, they are in the Premier League. #wehavenothingtocrowabout Our history suggests we hover around the 2nd and 3rd tier with the odd trip to the higher and lower leagues, Poor 3rd div side is a bit harsh, I would consider Hartlepool a poor Div 3 side
TheCulturalBomb
The irony for me is that people on this forum say why do we talk so much crap about Cardiff, for me I would gladly accept Cardiff going into the Premier League but NOT at the way they did it. They sold out.

They've been knocking on the door for years and you can't knock the players, they go out there with a job to do and they've done it, the fans however look like morons running round in red and black shirts celebrating 'the bluebirds' promotion. CardiffBlackLabel
I despise the rebrand with a passion. It's an insult to my club, and I have little time for City fans wearing red shirts. I realised yesterday though that the vast majority still see City as a blue club..Blue totally outnumbered red yesterday and most in red were young kids. The chant was 'Blue Army' as the bus came down St Mary Street-fantastic. http://www.flickr.com/photos/djleekee/8712075031/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/djleekee/8711100493/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/djleekee/8712268036/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/djleekee/8711150125/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/joncandy/8711111547/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/joncandy/8712249338/in/photostream http://www.flickr.com/photos/joncandy/8712325402/in/photostream http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/local-news/cardiff-city-fans-praised-police-3414789 and my favourite...from the bus.. http://instagram.com/p/Y8BaColNL9/

Rovers-ran-away
End of the day Cardiff are a long way from us now no matter what kit colour they have insulting them makes me cringe. Bristol City and proud, and even prouder on a day like yesterday seeing that. Yes, fair play. We may be millions of pounds in debt, we may have just come a distant bottom of the Championship, but at least we haven't changed the colour of our shirts. Hurrah! As I've pointed out before, presumably Cardiff are suffering the same embarrassment that Leeds United experienced in the sixties. Yes, they might have won the league, yes they might have been the best team in England, yes they might have won European trophies, BUT THEY HAD CHANGED THE COLOUR OF THEIR SHIRTS FROM BLUE & YELLOW TO WHITE so the fans didn't enjoy any of that, but continued to campaign to have yellow and blue shirts, and be a rubbish team. Don Revie was roundly hated for transforming them into one of the best teams in Europe. Players like Peter Lorimer, Johnny Giles and Norman Hunter were thoroughly embarassed with the massive success they achieved, because of the colour of their shirts. I'd rather sell my whole family into slavery and gnaw my own legs off than have to suffer Premier League football in DIFFERENT COLOURED SHIRTS. 'Orns
Can we stop all the Cardiff threads now, it's starting to make us look v bitter about the whole thing! The Casual Connoisseur
Good luck to them, they sold out; so what they were always the most fickle arrogant fans I came across anyway. Lets them have their moment, we just sound like jealous kids. At the end of the day we have league one football, our history and butthole in tact and a rising debt, they have premier league football, a collapsed anus and rising debt, I know what I'd prefer! Lets just let them have their time.

I most certainly will never ever defend the rebrand, as I abhor it. I give evils to City fans I see wearing Red! But I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that most people were wearing red..the photos show that not to be the case, and I assure you, 100% that blue shirts vastly outnumbered red at the parade. I was warmed by how much so..at least 8-1 in favour of blue.
LondonBristolian
Good luck to Cardiff as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather we didn't go through a similar rebrand and I'd rather two of our recent rivals weren't now playing Premier League football whilst we're in League One but I'm not going to begrudge them anything. Doesn't matter how they did it - the simple fact is they get the most points over the season and are in the Premier League and I bet most of their fans (and most of us would be, if we're honest) are damn happy about that bit at least. The issue of the shirt colour is between them and their fans as far as I'm concerned.
welldonejames
what are their fans supposed to do walk away and not watch them anymore , they cant do anything about the re brand so just make the most of it, would you walk away from the city if they were sold to some oil baron and played in pink in the prem probably not
