For a keeper who trains hard and doesn't touch the sauce, we could get two good seasons out of him. I doubt there is any truth in his rumour though I didn't consider the coaching role, but then again we took the Cardiff goalkeeping coach to replace Spink so that role is not available. He's 38, hasn't played first team for ages and is probably more injury prone than a mid 20's keeper, and as SOD wants and U21 2nd keeper I'd like a fit No.1. Loved it while he was here, loved the times, his personality etc etc. But times have changed, BCFC is entering a new era, rather a hungry young GK than Basso. If he hasn't been good enough to play lge football for anyone in the last 3 seasons why would he suddenly be good enough now? Let's move on! If he was then it might make sense to have him on non contract terms for pre season whilst the club look to sign new keepers. If he was able to demonstrate enough ability during that time then he might just get a deal. I know it doesn't often work bringing old players back, but I would love this to happen.
