Internet Porn

screech

Recommended Posts

Well we all love watching it don't we, I haven't gone blind yet. For some people it's the only daily exercise they get.

It's completely harmless in most cases apart from the odd sprained wrist now and again, so why has posh Dave decided that we as Adults (in age only) now have to apply to our ISP's to bypass a porn filter to watch it.

I can see a return to Carry on films being the sauciest/ raunchiest thing we will be watching, the return of No sex please we're British, I'm not sure Babs Windsor will cut it anymore at her age though.

The question is, being a privately schooled upper class toff that Dave is, what is his problem with my only vice in life, why not have an opt out rather than opt in. Surely more people watch porn than don't, so it makes more sense as a concerned parent you would make a choice to opt in to filter to protect your curious kids, rather than having a blanket opt out.

Keep the internet free from government meddling.

It's just one more facet of a control-freak government. They're spying on us all as much as they can. Rather than focussing on all the dangerous deviants they adopt an 'everyone's a suspect' policy.

I Imagine it'll be pretty much impossible to enforce. For example where does porn end and high-brow erotic art begin? What about naturism?

Personally I'll probably end up watching more nude theatre or something. It's either that or convince the wife with some implausible reason that we really ought to opt in.

I read an article where the idea or concept was completely trashed by this IT geek/expert.

Essentially the basis was that porn/videos etc are just files, so how exactly does he propose to ban/block that?!

Presumably all websites are categorised in some manner, and ISP's could block access to those falling into particular categories? Just guessing

Presumably the same way ISPs currently can ban particular websites that promote software piracy etc.

1) I'm an adult, I'll decide what I want to look at.

2) If kids are looking at porn, it's the parents fault. They should take responsibility and watch what their children are doing or put software filters on themselves.

3) I wish people who don't understand the internet would stop interfering with it.

4) People will resort to using things like TOR which opens up the dark side of the internet for people who otherwise would not have stumbled upon it, and thus exposing them to criminal content.

5) I thought we lived in a democratic country where we cherish freedom and choice. We're no better than China now.

6) I ******* hate cultural marxism.

Don't think it works like that.

If you run a dodgy porn site you won't register/categorise it as that would you?

Parents are just lazy and expect the state to look after their kids for them so they have to take no responsibility - all you hear is "think of the kids" in just about anything nowadays, and if your against the policies your some porn loving/pedo/smoker/killer/heartless/vile/bastard who does not deserve to live.

For me - if it effects things like the Game of Thrones that contains sex scenes within it i'll start to get mad !!!!!!!!!!!

Can of worms this..

Social media should never taken seriously, ever, and Dave should try educating parents about the porn filters already available, but they never use and instead get mad at the service providers.

These same people then go squealing to the Daily Mail about the government not protecting their children on-line,well you know what, how about taking some forking responsibility over your kids development yourself?

And why not blame BT too? why stop there, probably many companies linked to the internet, all played their part in providing porn.

And If Daves future of a porn free world is actually achievable, do you think he could throw in a spam block, overseas war/disaster news block, Politics news block, also no spam through my mail box and no more telephone sales calls block, no Tory propaganda, no nothing, especially you sniveling toads interfering in people lives.

Treat the cause not the effect, ******* point scoring tosser, he should have berated parents, but that would not be good for a an already shit 'POLL' rating,

loads of OAPs don't understand the net, but mention Google, facebook and kids being exposed to porn in the same sentence and you have that age group sewn up, but anyone with sense can see hes a clueless**** and this is a politically motivated point scoring moral crusade, I do look forward to see how hes goes about implementing this this fantasy, hopefully it will end his political career even sooner.

I reckon he just wants it blocked so when we type in words like 'boob', 'tit' and '****' there'll no longer be images of him coming up!

In all seriousness, if the fear is kids are growing up with a warped idea of sex and are objectifying women then better moral education is needed. Remember, I was exposed to porn before the days of the internet.

If child abuse images are the problem then it's not the sharing of them but the abuse itself that needs stopping. I don't think people learn or 'grow into' peodophilia, I think those that are looking for horrible shit will find it anyway.

This is one of my favourite posts ever.

The increased censorship of the internet in the UK will just lead people to look at getting proxy servers. I route all my internet surfing through France or Holland as my ISP has given in to the demands of the tv broadcast industry and will even more in the future.

Have to admit always look forward to knocking one out over the Internet every night.

This internet must be a bit of a looker. I hope you clean up after banging one out over it, I am sure there are others that use it! ;)

I actually think this might be a pledge - like the alcohol minimum pricing - that gets quietly 'shelved'.

Remember Dave with the huskies as he promoted dealing with climate change when he was trying to get detoxicate the Tory party? This whole thing is spin nonsense, grabbing the headlines and people's attention when we should be focusing on the unforgivable things that this government is doing to our country. It makes me so sad that it's a tested formula that works. Much like the war on "scroungers", so very cheap but the public as a whole laps this stuff up.
