This is a great opportunity for the club and SOD.

Palace really is a good draw! Panto villain plus former manager with a under used former winger thrown in!! You could not make this shit up. I think we are nailed on to be on telly, with the media waiting for the first whiff of Holloway blood! Fantastic.

I think I just read that we should play a second team....Not Likely! This team needs confidence and playing a side like this and getting close even is a lift!

The fact is we have been screaming for a cup run for years (and so has the Chairman) we need to take the opportunity of some revenues, hopefully a big home crowd and some TV money and 4king go for it!

Really what do we have to lose? The manager has covered nearly every position and if we pick up a knock we are finally in a position to swap players out...Allbeit a youngster! That what we wanted was it not! CYOR

Can't see Holloway risking his first team - he'd be more than happy to 'concentrate on the league' and make it look like he doesn't care - probably some underhand jibes lined up too.

Disappointed to get a team we have played a lot recently - Yoevil are at home, will that affect our tie?

As for Sky games, the should be rules against the same team being on tv 'x' amount of times in the cup, but it doesn't really matter to anyone outside of the clubs that aren't on TV.

Hopefully they'll try and play football though - would love to win and progress though

Trust me he will do anything to get one over on us!!

I'm thinking - if he play's a first team and they bottle it/are out classed/loose their heads - it'll look far worse on him than a win can make him look good as a manager. If he plays a second string team and they lose it'll be no big news, if they win, it'll mean as much as playing a full strength team and winning.

Bloody hell we've won one Cup game in the last 20 years and all of a sudden we're talking up our chances of beating a Premiership team....lets calm it down gentlemen

Awful draw, horrible club, even worse manager - he won't put a 2nd team out and run the risk of City knocking him out

I really hope we beat those person I disagree with tard, chav ***** from Croydon who think they are some kind of superior beings because they live in London.

Despite the fact, that part of the capital is an absolute scrote infested cesspit full of knuckledragging Danny Dyer types who think they are pwoppa hard because they have a John Terry Haircut and drive a Ford Escort van with alloy wheels which they think makes them look like a man with a trade when in fact they use it to drive to the job centre to sign on.

last time we played palace in league cup we got a semi on

True! The omens are there.

In the 70s we were in the top division and lost to CP in the League Cup.

88-89 Palace were an a higher division than City and we knocked them out of the League Cup.

Here we are again, meeting in the League Cup and they're the team in a higher division.
