They tried that in 1957 - these two lads going at it hammer and tong on the pitch.

Wow, the masses were easily pleased in those days.

A big grin on every face and for quite a few it looks like it's the easily funniest thing they've ever seen.

Happy days! :clapping::blink:

It was. I was there.

was few celebrated the goal a bit different to what happened after , surely your not condoning players being attacked on the pitch? whats the excuses for 1990 or the beadle 2-0 game ect ... fact is most trouble happens when the result goes against city?

Has the city bloke got cycle clips on ?

They were all the rage back then. Cycle clips were the fake Burberry of the day.

Unfortunately for Rovers supporters, sporting a stupid hat at a jaunty angle whilst holding your hand on your hip back then would be the equivalent of going out in a pair of hi-tech trainers worn with your George at Asda tracksuit today.

No fans should be on the pitch during play. Disgraceful behaviour.

' Secondly, any fan seen to be causing any sort of issues will be put straight into a van and given an instant 3 year ban, no questions asked, this has also already been agreed with the magistrates court'

this tunnels thing is very good. :P ... although the last 2 derby games , the friendly and in 2007 i witnessed 2 large escorted mobs of rovers , so escorts yes but tunnels im not so sure? as for today im sure i will be the same as usual with the police more than incontrol as they have all the power, if you punch a fan tonight your likely to get a battoned to hell , arrested and bange dup for 3 months where as the police will free wheel there batons at will and cover there numbers and get away with whatever they like , only one "mob" can win away from the pitch and it wont be Rovers or City, dont think you'll find the gas in old market this time either ... a change of tact maybe? :gasmask:

no youre right....how about the time you played swindon at ashton,yep thats right we where there dolman and enclosure,they days are long gone,but theres a strong rumour where the gas hide and seek mob will,be old mrkt no...on the other hand loose lips ...we know where youre hiding shshshsh enough said... :thumbsup:

i hope all the neanderthal's from both sides enjoy their moment in the limelight tonight with all their gesturing behind police cordons and netting....

Even more looking forward to Redeye coming on here after the match and reeling in the same drybreads every single time with his superior intellect and vocabulary

Some aspects of life feel like we're in a police state. Heard about an unrelated story on the radio this morning to do with phone hacking. A journalist who was suspected of hacking text messages, and was completely innocent, was awoken by 9 officers when in his pyjamas and had his house taken apart for evidence.

There are greater powers at work here.

I'm sure that most of you have seen the zero tolerance policing article in the evening post today and I just thought I would make a quick thread to inform anyone that is attending the game tomorrow a few extra things which were not mentioned in that article. Firstly, all of the police out tomorrow have been given the power by the magistrates court to shut down any pub at any time they wish to. Secondly, any fan seen to be causing any sort of issues will be put straight into a van and given an instant 3 year ban, no questions asked, this has also already been agreed with the magistrates court. I have also been informed that there will be a very large number of police out tomorrow night in civilian clothing, around the grounds, in the pubs and they also have a number of tickets in the dolman and east end. So tomorrow night I suggest that all of you are on your best behavior (I know that this only applies to a small number of 'fans'). Here's hoping for a famous city win!

yes officer...
