tiz
I am 47 years old, and was not looking for trouble. Due to the fact those I went with wanted to get away fairly quickly after the game I found myself right at the front of the escort, wanting to get to the Cricket club park. Difficult as it was for the police and me nearly crushing one copper against the van, some of them I thought did rather well. However there were a few that were intent on violence. I was subjected to three blows in the stomach with real force and a stabbing motion. Now if it were not for a good friend seeing what happened and sensing my reaction I would have got myself in a lot of trouble. Last night and today I find myself in real trouble with pain from below my belly botton right down into my groin. You may well be right to blame fans but the few you call bad eggs can also be labelled at severe pervocative and over policing
i hate rovers
i think the policing was a joke..why they held us at the back of there stand was bllox..they should of kept us inside the ground, you had bellends in those windows giving it wnkr signs which fueled the fire..it wasnt a nice place to be at the front of it,god knows how the small kids felt, not nice at all..as for going there again it aint happening .been going there since the 80s thats enough for me...tiz im only blameing the coin throwers, hope youre pain goes soon.. You may well be right to blame fans but the few you call bad eggs can also be labelled at severe pervocative and over policing Reminiscent of what happened at Cardiff as well, happened to be at the front and got abused by coppers. The worst thing was being at the front when everyone charged at the train station, again the same as what happened at Cardiff with people being crushed and struggling to breathe, the police could see what was happening but there is NO reasoning with them. Yesterday coupled with what happened at Cardiff last year has put me off going to the 'big' away games, I just want to go to the pub have a beer, watch the game and go home. But instead I (like many others im sure) get lumped together with a moronic minority and treated like a criminal. To be honest im ashamed to be associated with the racist idiots who throw coins and chant abuse at children looking out of their windows, they are a disgrace who reflect badly on bcfc as a whole. Club and Country
Why don't bcfc and other clubs stand up to the police? The police seemingly now have created situations at Cardiff and Swindon There a disgrace

Would I have been injured yesterday if they weren't there? No I frikking wouldn't. Seemed a very mixed bag and supported the view I always have of the police, that the individuals can decide how it all goes down. I know the bird you talk about with the dog, utter horrendous woman. Yet the copper outside the entry to go in was really pleasant. Helped a few lads get rid of their empty cans and said "Leave 'em there, it'll get cleaned up by the ground staff". As a result had a decent chat with fans going in.
Alwaysdreaming
Got train from Parkway so that was where we were getting picked up from when we got back!!!! When we arrived at Swindon and saw welsh police I knew it was going to go pear shape. I wanted to catch the 17:30 train which would have got us back at parkway at around 6 ish. We left at the end of the game to be told you ain't going nowhere until we tell you. I told the copper that i needed to get back to parkway and said NO your going to Temple meads. There was then a lot of pushing where women and kids were caught up in the rough tactics from the welsh coppers. we got onto the train at 18:10 then traveled to Temple meads then had to get another train to parkway. Surely we must have human rights and if my ticket said parkway surely i should be able to go to parkway. I going to think hard and long before traveling again by train. bcfc13
The police let me and my friends nip out through the field opposite the turnstiles... back at the station within 20 minutes with no trouble, sounds like some more embarrassing behaviour from the city idiots

Woolford's Hairband
I really do despair with the mentality of some. Absolutely no need to racially abuse families in their houses who were just going about their day as per normal and then joking to their friends about it as if it was big and clever. The missle throwing at the windows was also uncalled for, although the ones at the window goading and gesticulating which started it should have been moved away from the area. Saw somebody from City get hit the eye with a coin on the escort in the car park on way in as well.

Pathetic This sums up how chaotic it was yesterday. I was in the same car as Tiz but got separated from Tiz and 3 other mates when the surging started but couldn't have been more than 10 feet behind them. While Tiz wasn't allowed through the gate into the cricket club and ended up getting hit with a poice baton (another mate in the car was hit by them too), I was allowed through without question. Totally random and unnacceptable TBH. Hope you're not in too much pain Tiz, I could see you were struggling in the car bud.

DapperDarch
I thought the police were ok all day until after the game when they looked way out of their depth in what i thought was a fairly well behaved escort. Before the game they escorted 50-100 of us from the Great Western after we asked to move pub as 4 pound a pint is shocking. They took us into town to the wetherspoons. They then took us from their to the ground in plenty of time for the KO and were quite chatty and friendly to be fair. The situation outside the station after the game was a bit of a farce but they cant just let 500 or so people into the station all at once, it would be mayhem. When we got through they let us onto the right platform to get our train back to taunton. Thought they were far better than the OB at Cardiff in February

Pezo
It was a mess, came out of the stand strait into the police escort - looked at my friend and said "be carefull - this is going to surge forward in a second", within 5 seconds people were falling over each other and general chaos with police trying to smack people to get them to go back towards where they were trying to create space so people could get up. I think my friend saw Tiz getting hit by the police - said he saw someone bend down to help someone up they got pushed as they bent over to help and got a truncheon in the stomach for their helpfulness. As for the bitch with the dog - tried informing her that she wasn't aloud to use it as a weapon and all I got back was "I will use it as I ******* well like". Some of our fans get call an embarrassment by our own fans but % wise the police were more of an embarrassment yesterday. Non of this without mentioning the horse that trampled some lad and the gobby police woman riding the horse that couldn't control it! Welsh police shouldn't be aloud anywhere near us. North London Red
It was easy to avoid the escort after the game yesterday - next time just hang around towards the back, keep your head down and wait by the small green opposite the County Ground Hotel. Within 15 minutes or so the escort had gone past the junction with Manchester Road (the police avoid this route so the escort doesn't go past the Tap and Barrel pub) and the way was then free for a quick walk back to the station along Manchester Road. I was back at the station just before 5.30.

This exactly, people quick to blame the City fans and think we are all thugs yet the police were worse and a complete embarrassment when they are meant to be keeping the peace but seemed they were just spoiling for it all to kick off. Not sure if anything else happened after we got out of the escort at the junction for Manchester Road after showing the keys for our car but that was a struggle. It looked like the coppers were going to hit me and my mate to... the way they were looking at us with utter disgust.

In the Net
Why are the Welsh police popping up all over the place, have they not had to make the same cuts as the English police force? Devon constabulary brought them in for our games at Plymouth/Exeter. Unfortunately there always seem to be rogue officers, who will happily take a swipe at the easy targets. Tiz - if you have external bruising, take some photos to submit with an official complaint.
