Escort Back To The Station

i hate rovers

Its post like that really anoy me. Good you had a good experience state it and leave it at that, dont then label others that were not as lucky as you. I am not a trouble maker and ssked nicely to go through to the gate to the cricket car park and was told no. I am not a trouble maker yet got rough treatment. Pathetic

I think you were just unlucky.

The old man and I were let through by the cops into the field behind and we double backed and got to where we parked the car. We were out and onto the M4 within 15 mins of getting in the car.

It is just pot luck I reckon.

Some people get caught up and badly treated whereas we do have absolute cocks supporting us as well - only fair to comment that we do. You know it, I know it, the rozzers know it.

tiz how would you feel if in 2 weeks time your face ended up in the paper and on the club website?. What happened to you went on in cardiff but i was told on this forum that i was stupid for speaking about it to the fans parliament and ''what was he thinking''. Fact is innocent fans are getting a raw deal at away games at the hands of the police who think EVERY ONE is a hooligan but no one wants to do anything about it...

I await the club and supporters club and trust volunteering to assist the police identify any city fans who may have caused trouble.

Bang out of order fella, that does not happen.

I, like many, had to convince the police cordon to let me through to the park after the match by showing them my car keys.

The old bill were filming yesterday CH but I would bet Tiz getting whacked won't be seen by the powers that control them.

Mounted police were from Avon and Somerset force

I know a couple of our fans that got trampled by them as you arrived at ground - one having phone broken, same guy also got a truncheon across the legs for going to complain

Smack em and sort it later mentality on those sort of games

Why are the Welsh police popping up all over the place, have they not had to make the same cuts as the English police force? Devon constabulary brought them in for our games at Plymouth/Exeter.

Unfortunately there always seem to be rogue officers, who will happily take a swipe at the easy targets. Tiz - if you have external bruising, take some photos to submit with an official complaint.

Wiltshire has one of the smallest Constabularies for it's area, Swindon being the biggest town in Wiltshire it needed extra police from other counties.

I Feel you are right but his reaction would be, a rightly so angry face.

Totally understandable in all honesty but it would look bad I suppose. maybe the old bill are 'acting to get a reaction' thereby justifying (wrongly) their actions. Tiz is a good lad and his treatment was not justifiable IMO.

Hundreds of mobile phones with video options and people still do not record their interactions with the b police ?

If you get bitten on tape she gets suspended whilst their is an investigation and if she gets off you can bring a civil case against them

If they are adding to the situation and making things volatile you have it recorded.. So get your phone out and do a running commentary of what's happening, remain polite but firm in your dealings and you may see things change.

I was hoping to back in Bristol by 6 to pick up my kids from my mum in town. After leaving the ground stand at 16:50 and with a 15 minutes or so walk back to the station I thought I'll back in no time. Fast forward 1 hour & 25 minutes later only to find that I'm just leaving Swindon station, Get back into Bristol TM at 19:05(our bus left at 7 to thornbury), phoned my mum to find where she was, only to have a jumped up policemen push me in back telling me to "******* hurry up and move on" outside TM entrance. Any way me and my kids had to wait till 21:00 for our bus back home. The only reason I got for why it was took so long to back to train station was "it's for your own safety" absolute bollocks

Thatchsm red, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the fans Parliament recently decide to back the clubs policy of supporting the police circulation of pictures of alleged trouble makers at Cardiff, and CH. criticism of this policy led in part to his resignation from the Parliament!

Shocking if true, absolutely disgraceful the club or fans parliament should give their backing to any witch-hunt of innocent supporters.

I will correct you. The Supporters Club & Trust did not support the posting of fans images on websites in order to identify them. Your insinuation is that we are involved in identifying fans captured on CCTV, that is not true either.

The Fans Parliament does have some Club & Trust members on it, so it is correct to say that some members may have backed the club's policy. As they do not make up anything like the majority of the Fans Parliament and I was not there to verify it myself, I cannot agree with your assertion that we can be held to account for that.

Before all this gets blown out of proportion as it sounds its going to , the fans parliament did not vote for the backing of the club supporting the OB.

The club took that stance and they were going to help regardless of fans parliament, trust, SC etc.

The only voting was a show of hands to see if we agreed or not to them taking that decision, 1 out of 3 did not agree and should allow the police to handle their own affairs.

I parked in cricket club but got let through the side entrance by a very polite police woman.....luck of draw as smacked with a riot shield at Cardiff as asked to leave escort as was corporate and when I challenged him as to he couldn't do this his response was "I can do whatever I want ur in my city!!" So good and bad but the bad ones you just cannot reason with!!

Got caught up in the escort outside of the Arkle stand, but once I got to the car park by the town end I just walked off towards the car. Could be something to do with having my 14 year old daughter and nephew with me. But did think I was going to be escorted to town only to double back, couldn't believe no one questioned me?

Got bite by a police dog whilst innocently walking back to my car yesterday. Turned around with a shocked look on my face to be confronted by it's bitch of a handler abusing me for walking near to it!!

I think i was behind you with my wife when that happened. Or it happened to somebody else as well.

The whole experience reflects so badly on where football is versus other forms of entertainment.

If you treat people like dogs and herd them like cattle the outcome is so predicatable.

We had to break the escort and walk into the swindon crowd in order to get back to my car

All in the name of a football game

My god what a shambles

No where for away fans to drink, except a one in and one out bar, so huge line waiting outside

Then another line whilst we were all unceremoniasly fondled by security through one entrance for away fans.

Swindon town fc you should be ashamed of your shithole of a club

The only reason we had to keep stopping, was because the overweight, slob of a Mr Senior Plod was knackered......all that walking backwards and he couldn't handle it. Puffing and sweating like a ......(nearly said pig) very unfit Police Officer !! Utter joke. Even a swindon copper told me he thought it was rediculous. Did chuckle at the "sit down if you hate the Gas"..!! Quality. And the City fan showing an away shirt out of the window of the house just as we approached the station was excellent.
