Post match interview vs Bristol rovers slated Bristol city fans for invading the pitch

Post match interview vs shrewsbury town slated Bristol city fans saying we moan about passing too much and then moan about long balls. claims fans are waiting for city to fail.

Post match vs Swindon saying Bristol city fans don't deserve an apology for the defeat and no players will be apologizing on twitter either.

And i was right about mciness wasn't I. Did he not get us relegated.

He's made very valid points on each case, some fans juet can't handle the truth that they aren't helping the team.

Bit hypocritical isn't it. Weren't you calling for all sorts of protests at games last season to help get rid of DMC? Or was that for the good of the team?

You think he's wrong ? Invading the pitch ,embarrassing, booing the team ,counterproductive.

We are the one constant throughout most of the lean times perhaps our attitude needs to change for us to advance.i think we have been fed so much bullshit for so many years we are perhaps not very football intelligent .

This to me is yet again player power in action, the report is he called the players in on sunday for a meeting and had a right go at them for their pitiful performance on saturday and 3 players complained and the rest is history as they say.

it seems to me that even in crap prem teams such as Sunderland and others, young below average players are being turned into millionaires and why?, they want all of the trappings of a prem player, money, car, house, bling, wannabe models (who would have ended up as porn stars, without their new sugar daddies) but don't want to bust a gut on the field or on the training field, but I bet most of them were on the lash saturday night spending their ill gotten gains, sportsmen my arse, far too many below average prem players have morphed into Giles and Tarquin of Chelsea spending daddies money being complete arses around town and feeling that they don't have to earn the money.

This is in no way a vindication of PDC but unfortunately Sunderland players have a track record of taking the piss out of their fans and leading to good and in some cases honorable managers losing their jobs, it should be much easier to sack players who are taking the piss.

I think he doesn't need to mention the fans at all. We're no worse than any other clubs fans for booing their team when things are going bad on the pitch. We've had mainly sh1t from our team for 2 years, a derby win was always likely to be celebrated enthusiastically, praising the Gas for being nothing special (who were hardly well behaved either) is also just going to get people's backs up. As I said at the time he could've condemned the pitch invasion without the sarky comment about not understanding why we were happy to win the first Bristol derby for 6 years. That's something that's personal to us and the Gas.

I don't think he should lie and tell everyone that we are the most perfect fans in the World but he doesn't need to keep taking little swipes either.

Don't be ridiculous, we had plenty of time and points available to get out of trouble.

The board seemed to have given up already and there was apparently no expectation, and certainly no pressure, on SO'D to avoid relegation.

We got rid of the manager who had already started the reconstruction behind the scenes, and the seemingly endless task of chopping the dead wood, and went down embarrassingly anyway, with probably far less of a whimper than if we'd stuck with McInnes.

The rest of the season could hardly have been much worse if we'd stuck with Del, could it?

The board chose to accept relegation and start all over again. Yet again. Only at Bristol City...................

I agree I think what has been missed by his comment after the game is, yes we all know how wrong it was and we didn't need him to remind us, but perhaps just perhaps it was some sort of relief and out pouring of emotion of the previous 5 years of utter shit and sadly the subsequent celebrations over the beating of our vastly inferior Bristol rivals was perhaps more of an indication of just how low we have sunk under the mismanagement on and off the field in the previous 5 years.

a bit bitter towards footballers there aren't we? Did one misuse you in some way? You're basing that whole attack on rumours and speculation. Not all footballers are like that and so what if they've been made millionaires by the time they were 18 or whatever would you turn it down?

Anyway Paolo do canio is a clown!

and what do you base your glowing references on?.

I found it quite sad week in week out 2 genuine honest ex pro's Martin O'neil and Steve Bruce having to defend totally under performing players during interviews, but hey if your happy to let the game cascade on with it's tail wagging the dog attitude, that's fine, it used to be claimed as a mans game, FFS most of them put more effort into their hair and training for an occasional goal celebration.

PS:- I am sure you read that I said my rant was not a vindication of PDC and many modern day footballers misuse fans everyday of the week.

This is a lovely and telling story. Sit back, read and relax...

Obviously Di Canio is a subject bell end.

He subs arguably his best summer signing at half time, this didn't go down well with Cattermole, the subbed lad and a couple others. General piss flap tiff between Di Canio and his Italian 'team'. Gets to full time, gives it the 'chin up' to the fans, plenty letting him be aware he is clueless - not new news to many, though some have believed he is a good manager

Walks in the dressing room, Cattermole and a bigger amount of players give grief and it kicks off. WBA security called in to remove individuals as it boiled way OTT.

Next day...

As per usual, the players and staff all meet for their debrief of the game. Little does Di Canio know, several players have communicated with certain board members. The meeting quickly turns against Di Canio via the players and before it gets 'too hot' - he is asked out and shown the door <clear your desk and **** off>

Himself and his crew follow his arse out the door - goodbye.

Lesson to be learned by Di Canio - you may be able to 'boss' players in the lower league, make a shed load of lame signings and then pay then off after realising they're shite. In the Premier League, when players, like Fletcher are on 50/60k a week. You don't upset them as they have way more power than the manager at that level. There are only so many players you can get shot of/loan out, but you'll never overcome the power of Premier League players on your back.

Boom.

Sauce, reliable and in the game - I can see him on TV now :)

Edit - I just noticed this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24214706

Backs it up to a certain extent.

or another case of the tail wagging the dog, pampered pussy players get their own way again, let's see who they can get sacked next.

I have no time for PDC but it's just another nail in footballs coffin IMO, players are paid too much and have far too much power.

In the Premiership, indeed. It fizzles out quickly when you go top end Championship downward though.

Players lower down the leagues tend to be better behaved due to risk of being frozen out and ending up non-league in quick time.
