SaltfordRed
I agree that our batting line up looks weak. We could really do with keeping them under 350.
Portland Bill
Cricket Australia needs to take a long hard look at itself. That's the second cheap shot at Panesar on their watch and it simply isn't acceptable. I'm not a great cricket follower, but can you or someone explain to me, how a bloke who got peed out of his head and then actually peed on people's heads,is allowed to play for England? Are we really that desperate?.
SaltfordRed
What's our predictions for tonight? Think we need early wickets, Haddin and Clarke can be very different. I think we'll get them for about 400, just hoping we don't loose many wickets before the end of the day.
Super
A disastrous day. If we lose this test we are toast in this series. Seems like Johnson has struck total fear into our batsmen with his pace and Lyon has caused more problems than Swann and Panesar put together. Longacre_red
Costly costly drop from Carberry. He really needs to cash in now. Big day needed from kp & bell. One of them needs to go very big, with help from prior as well. Why don't our tail sneak a quick 50 like Harris??

Rob k
I'll put it in a nutshell. We are shit scared of them. They know it. We know they know it. I have never witnessed so much scorn toward an England side. There is a perception that we are piss-weak cowards. Running to the umpires, Trott going home, and ordering more body armour haven't helped. They ****** hate us tbh. It's going to be a long summer - and I can't see who at this stage can turn it around. Oh and Carberry needs to stop thinking he's Mr Cool and hold bloody catches, although he batted well today. I'm watching it in my local, and even there I'm getting death-looks and outright aggression from blokes I've been on good terms with for 6 months. The whole country absolutely hates the England cricket team. Have a fight with one of them. Show them were not all cowards!! Steam in to them.... Super
Fair play to Johnson that was some spell but we shouldn't be surprised as this team Haven't batted well for a long time now. This is an ageing team that has come to the end of the road I'm afraid.

Lew-T
I stayed up much of the night to watch that. Absolutely embarrassing, they should be ashamed of themselves. What was KP doing FFS?! Plays that shot, knowing full well there are two catchers for that shot. Unbelievable Cook, KP, Prior and Root all need to up their ******* game and get into them!! The pressure should be on them! Why are we suddenly scared??? IMO I can't see us coming back from 2-
Dolman Block B
Well what a load of ald shite that was. Be over in 3 days now. ...
The difference between US and the Australians is summed up in the entity that is the cucumber sandwich. WE have cucumber sandwiches - white, thin-sliced bread, with the crusts and corners cut orf - served with a cup of Earl Grey, and even then a scone afterwards: THEY drink cheap, over cold lager and hate everyone. We must, must maintain the moral high ground. Don't let us sink to the mud-slinging level of those criminals. TFR

Oxford Red
Adelaide was one I thought we might win. How we get 300+ in the last innings - yet score 170 odd against a paceman on a non-pacey wicket. Well -- I just give up trying to second guess our cricket side. Maybe they will surprise me but Johnson was unplayable in Brisbane, god knows how we will be at the WACA,
SaltfordRed
Talk of even Swann being dropped for the last test. Perth is a pact wicket with lots of bounce, therefore I'd go with 4 seamers. Swann simply hasn't performed, although it's still hard to drop him. Then there's the question of which seamer to bring in? On current form it's Bresnan, however due to the pace and bounce in the wicket could Finn or Rankin be more useful? SaltfordRed
I just don't thinkni could ever justify picking bresnan, he's just not good enough. Averaging 30 with the bat and just over 30 with the ball, economy of 3. Not a bad test record. On form aswell, has got wickets for the EPP. BS5_RED
Well I've think I've just got over that debacle. Here's some snaps from the fantastic new Adelaide Oval: http:// Sat here for most of the test (Riverbank mid level). Amazing seats right below the ABC commentary box. http:// Watched the Johnson spell from up here (Riverbank upper) http:// View of the eastern stands http:// The famous old scoreboard at the Cathedral end. Very pretty , but It's bloomin' hard work watching a game from the (infamous) hill that sits in front of it mind.. http:// A view of the Riverbank stand - it's massive! http:// A view of the unfinished western stand(s). Overall I think they've done a great job with the old girl. Especially if you compare to the concrete monstrosity that is the 'Gabba.
Kid in the Riot
A wise old man told me a year ago that this is the most arrogant, cocky and complacent England side in years and from what I've seen in the past year I can't disagree too much. I thought 3-0 flattered us in the summer against a god awful Aussie side. Swann tweeting pics from the dressing room yesterday of him and Michael McIntyre in the middle of a 5 day test v the Aussies?? Don't get it. Stand by what I said above. Need to rebuild now.
