Oxford Red
So why are you? Hypocrite springs to mind. I'm not. My parents came from working class backgrounds. I said that there are a tonne of people who are anti-Europe based on nothing other than ignorance.

Mr Mosquito
I'm not sure we should get hung up on the whole class thing to be honest. That's all a bit 19th century. There's a big class issue regarding Britain's EU membership with the EU making the rich Tories richer and the indigenous British working class and lower middle class population a lot poorer....... The people that seem to benefit most from Britain's membership of the EU project are the rich Tory landowners. The big Tory landowners and landlords represent the core of the Tory party and this is the main reason that a Conservative government would never take us out of the EU. Countryside Tory landowners gain from massive EU grants from the EU Common Agricultural Policy and cheap Eastern EU labour for their farms. The Tory City based landlords gain by charging huge rents caused by overpopulation - exacerbated by the EU open borders policy. Thus the Tory upper middle classes gain most financially from Britain's EU membership while the lower middle and working classes pay most for Britain's EU membership via unecessary increased taxation to pay for the EU. Oxford Red
That's alarmist completely. I am not a landowner. I am most definitely not a Tory and I'm not upper class. Yet I benefit massively in my line of work (investment banking) from the UK being a part of the EU. We all benefit from free trade, from being a part of a large powerful trading bloc. It's just some people are ignorant of by how much. They'd only realise when it is too late.

Great Britain was - for almost 200 years - often the richest country in the world by doing trade with the whole world prior to EU (EEC) membership in 1973. True free trade is being able to trade freely with the rest of the world without EU interference. What is your view on the EU's top unelected pseudo socialist - the Labour Party's 'Lady' Catherine Ashton?

Britain is now a little country with no empire, a much smaller place in the world where it is in our interests to merge with the powers of Germany, France etc to keep a strong force in the world. Britain needs the EU more than it needs the UK. Goodness me a UK battling the US and China and the EU in trade talks???? Laughable. But hey let's put on our British top hats, sing God Save the Queen and love our pound eh? Because that's obviously so important.....

Yes Gobbers, but we owned half the rest of the world for much of the 200 years before 1973!!! We couldn't have failed to make money from trading with India, the Caribbean or (going back another 100 years) America when we owned them! And who do you think bought all the riches we took from our empire?! Our European cousins of course!!!

Indeed, British EU loving traitor politicians and many business leaders have turned their backs on the USA, Commonwealth, and the rest of the Anglosphere. These EU 4th Reichers are ready with their multitude of phrase and language books for a morsel of regulated trade with the hopelessly corrupt and criminally led EU project. Mr Mosquito
Yet I benefit massively in my line of work (investment banking) from the UK being a part of the EU. I find it amazing that you admit to being an investment bankster. This country cannot continue to bail out the banksters and the EU with the taxes of honest working people. It's morally and ethically wrong to expect the beleaguered and overtaxed working population of this country to continue to do so.

Paddy31
As an EU bankster, can you comment on the following Alex Jones Youtube video that exposes the council of EU, Angela Merkel and the banksters............ This is Alex Jones. He believes the Oklahoma bombings and the Sept 11 attacks on the World Trade Centre were orchestrated by the US government. Although this has no direct bearing on the truth (or not) of what Jones says in the video you have linked, it certainly suggests an agenda. Although this has no direct bearing on the truth (or not) of what Jones says in the video you have linked, it certainly suggests an agenda. He has also claimed that chemicals are being added to fruit juice (oh yes!) to turn children gay, and that the government control the weather to create tornadoes. Oh and he thinks the US and Russia are in cahoots over Syria and they have the aim of de-industrializing the country. Like it's industrial now. In other words, he's certifiable. Oxford Red
Definate Wum. Well played Sir, well played. That's the last I respond to you. If you had any experience you would know full well the best drivers around cities are the cash in hand guys who do it for half the price and twice the quality. I'm hardly going to give him my debit card. 85 euros for 3 days. It'd be twice and some from others.

You told us you once used to be a civil servant. As did Denis Neilsen. I thereby use your methodology to deduce that you must befriend young blokes in the pub and then drug them and rape them before dismembering them! Honestly Gobbers, thee dussn't 'alf tawk some shyte, as my grandad might say. Jones is a lunatic - as even SX will attest. My great great grand daddy fought the Mexicans to help keep Texas free. Just because Alex Jones hasn't had elocution lessons like the Oxbridge educated BBC chat show hosts doesn't mean his discussions aren't valid. Alex Jones v Piers Morgan was most impressive and I haven't seen the like on the BBC.
