It's a good signing for sure. Plus if SC wants to stick to 3-5-2 Little will make an excellent wing back. Good going forward and defensively. I don't see the issue with a 3 year deal for a 25 year old. A good age and proven at this level, plus being on a free this is good business.

Well happy. I am going into this season feeling some confidence in a good season ....we shall see ..... my only frustration with my shifts the first home game I can make is S****horpe so it seems its away days for me for a bit. Oh well always loved away days. Great signings

Slightly worried cotts is looking to outgun opponents and not worry about defence. Surely that has been our problem the last few seasons..... Happy to have signed little but hope we don't abandon our defensive frailties

But the itk's on here said we didn't need to strengthen the defence they couldn't be wrong could they?

A lot of people were trouser-tenting when Richard Foster signed...

...and Nicky Hunt.

To be fair, folks were also excited about JET and he scored a bunch of goals and set up tonnes too.

Some folks were also down on it; that is basically the nature of this place.

Just because Foster and Hunt played in the same position doesn't mean anything.

Plus, neither of those players had been part of a squad who'd just made the play offs in the same league we're in the season prior, so that is to Little's credit over both of them.

Aden Flint had been.

Is anyone actually "down on this"? I think a sensible "sounds good on paper, let's wait and see what he's like" attitude seems to prevail. After all, El-Abd sounded good on paper!

Some people are questioning a three-year deal, but we aren't that attractive a club to new recruits any more and I guess that's what it takes to get them to sign on the line. I doubt it was our first offer.

This... is worryingly true.  Though don't think he's quite in the Nicky Hunt category, at least not yet.

Not saying we should be dancin' in the streets, but people are already taking as gospel that he's no cop in defence, and all attack, and using that 'fact' to knock the manager's decision making.

Clearly agree on the contract, though I'd suggest that three years for a seemingly in demand 25 year old is not so bad compared to, say 3 years for a 29 year old.  However, the fact SC has also done the latter with it seemingly not having paid off means that it is right to critique the decision.

Ultimately, I'm personally satisfied we are looking to recruit the sort of players we were lacking or had to loan in last time out; if we go 352 again, Little would free up Wagstaff to play more central and give us more cover on that side, or indeed add depth to our right back options if going 442, as I understand Maloney is the only other recognised specialist there right now.

But, yes; could all fall apart, and the lad might be garbage, that is obviously possible.

Everybody gets one, even the best get it wrong sometimes. That back pass that hit Sammy was one of his off days that night.

I remember tweeting Scott Loach after the Watford game after the point kept us above relegation the season before we went down, he was loving our fans after that :D
