Marina's Rolls Royce
We should stay playing in Red. Whenever I'm away from Bristol and mention that I support the mighty Reds- people always know it must be Bristol City
The Red Planet
"Keep the purple and lime flag flying high". Hmmm, that won't work. Although I am no socialist, I think "The Red Flag" is my favourite City chant. When everyone belts out "Flying high, up in the sky" it sends a shiver down my spine. Of course we must stay with red, Apart from anything else, it is well known that playing in red gives a team a boost. Might have something to do with the quote at the foot of my posts. Those Romans knew a thing or two back then.

JM91
While the colour red might not set us aside from clubs in England, it is quite distinctive outside of England to have a red kit (that is to have a block red shirt, rather than red/white stripes or red/blue stripes etc.) You'd have a hard time naming too many successful teams from Europe with traditionally block red shirts. T R
And the robin badge looks like montage done at nursery school. You could say the exactly same thing about the current crest badge. It looks a total mess. For a start the unicorns are the wrong colour they are supposed to be white. It looks like he has got a nob on his head and 3 ears. The front legs are small and deformed, it only seems to be one large back leg. Finally it looks like he is having a dump. As for the shield, I do not know how the boat is getting through that gate. It also seems to have solar panels on the front. The castle looks as if it has tents on top of it. On top of the shield it looks like a dead dog leaning over it. And on top of his head looks like a new Zealand themed rugby ball, added with some party balloons on top. The hands looks like it is holding a pair of bollocks up. I have done a new design of this badge, a more modern version. I'll put it up after my tea so you'll have to wait.

22A
Our "firm" could be branded "The Purple People Eaters". For you young 'uns that was a song in the fifties, but the title was adopted by the Americans. Purple People Eaters (sometimes Purple Gang) is a term for the defensive line of the Minnesota Vikings from the late 1960s to the late 1970s. The term is a reference to a popular song from 1958, the superb efficiency of the defense, and the color of their uniforms.
handsofclay
I would love to see the return of the robin, suspension bridge, football badge....but please don't put 1897 on it. Where we seem to be unique, but in a very odd way, amongst clubs is that we want to give the impression that we're younger than we actually are. Every club displays when they were formed, not when they chose their present name. We were formed in 1894 as Bristol South End. If you follow the female line with our amalgamation with Bedminster in 1900 (Bedminster losing their name in the marriage) we were formed in 1887. Ashton Gate was Bedminster's ground. Nearly every other club was formed under a different name and the likes of Leicester City went under the name Leicester Fosse for decades but you won't get them putting the date they became known as Leicester City on their badge. T R
Not quite the new design, I got half way through then I realised I was using the old shield design so I couldn't be bothered to do any more. I made a few small changes to the unicorns. I have seen other crest designs around. I like the bits and pieces from them all. On the one below I like the shield and the hand, I do not like the unircorns and the rest of it. I really like the unicorns on this one though plus the scroll bit. Maybe if the good bits are combined it could make a decent badge. Did a quick mock up to see what it would look like with white unicorns. I think it will work well but I am using paint and the quality is not there. Going back to the purple kit, I wonder what these would look like on it. Aussie
We could go from red to blue, maybe adopt a south East Asian dragon badge, we could hand out free scarves and really get everyone on board.... Worth a try as I don't think anyone's tried this yet
