Robbored
8 games in, still undefeated and with a +11goal difference. Wilbrahamavic with another 2 goals and another clean sheet. City were far too strong for Vale as the score line showed. I said it before - this will be our season.

cityexile
Chelsea, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Notts Forest, Charlton and us. The six unbeaten teams left in the country in the leagues. Worth also saying, first three have only played 4, Forest 6 and Charlton 7.
Robbored
We last won a league in the 54/55 season , 60 years ago. I want to see us win a league once in my life and am praying it is this one. 8 games in we won nothing, but we do seem to have the attributes of a promotion side. Hard work, organized, focused, with ability to play. And a decent man manager in Steve Cotterill.

TheCulturalBomb
The goal difference is double nearly every other teams in the league. This must be down to sorcery, what's the odds that in the summer SL met with a Botswanan witch-doctor.

RumRed
Why am I so scared? oh yeah experience. Ignoring my own pessimism which is just a defence mechanism well done all, these players will be approaching legend status whatever happens, and that includes the guys on the bench that are pushing the starting 11. v proud to be a city supporter. I'm so pleased we're putting these games to bed. Good times!

cityexile
It took us till Boxing Day and 24 games to get 20 points OK - bit of a Bristol centric question, but I wonder the last time City and 'them' both won their last three league games? slartibartfast
It is all down to Son Of Nob's EE Shrine! Sam if you're on line post the picture. On another point, as we are so far ahead at the top (relatively) we don't actually know how good we are. What I mean is, all the teams below us scuffling and picking up points, we COULD wipe the floor with any of them, we JUST don't know !
formerly known as ivan
Think the real test will come after our first defeat, if such a thing happens. The reaction of the players will be interesting when this happens. Feel more scared of losing a match now than I did at any point last season. Just dont want it to end at the moment! Kid in the Riot
It's looking good but there are still unanswered questions like:how will the players react to defeat? Is there strength in depth within the squad? And of course we're only 8 games into the season. But yeah, I agree, with this squad and the team spirit that appears to exist I can see us having a very good season. And so we don't get carried away, last season Orient had 24 points after 8 games ... Yes won every one. True. However by Xmas they had lots of injury problems and were unable to properly replace the players. If that happens to us i believe we'll have the resources to deal with it.
