samo II
People need to relax. Preston are a good team, and tonight was a winnable game for them, so we can't be too down. But after three weeks of two games a week, we'll have a better idea of how things are shaping up for them. Also; under Wilson we won 11 on the bounce and sill didn't go up, so any doom-&-gloom surrounding the potential tailing off of our own form can be applied to them as well. Rich-TWSC-
Regardless of form, I didn't envisage Swindon Town to win 3-0 at Chesterfield. I'm just very happy to be in the fight.
cityexile
Wait - you can win a game only scoring two? What is this scorcery? Good away results by both teams. In truth, far far to early to be worried about others. The only form that matters right now is our own.

cidered abroad
In addition to the wins by Swindon and PNE and the points that they have gathered, the significant thing is that both were gained without conceding! Now if only we could get clean sheets at home and away, I consider that we would all feel a lot more confident of the end result in May.

Ohbasso
Fair play to Preston and Swindon good results, a bit of healthy competition never hurt anyone. It's going to be a long old season lots of ups and downs to come, all we can do is make a lot of noise and try to enjoy it!
Spike
And they're still behind us.. With a game in hand, same amount of wins, the same GD and less goals conceded. There is no real reason to panic but I still think if we want to gain automatic promotion our defensive performances need to improve so we can capitalise on our great scoring record. One BCFC
The good thing is Swindon and Preston both have to play eachother in their game in hand at the County Ground, if Swindon won they would still be 4 pts behind. PNE are the real threat right now

havanatopia
Rochdale v Preston is going to be a very interesting game for the neutral. I fully expect Dale to perform to their full potential and end the nasty little run of Back End. I never tipped Clapton to do anything but struggle this season; not sure why people thought otherwise from a small club. As for the Spireites.. i never expected their form to continue; an upper mid table finish for them would be an excellent progression. Swindles should, rightly, have beaten them. I think City may drop points again on Saturday but i expect us still to be top of the pile of third tier hoof ballers.
CiderJar
So these seven wins in a row that Preston have had: Leyton Orient 0 Preston 2 Preston 3 Fleetwood 2 Gillingham 0 Preston 1 Preston 2 Port Vale 0 Preston 4 Colchester 2 Coventry 0 Preston 2 Preston 2 Crawley 0 Only Fleetwood are in the current top ten. swindon fan
I realise your expectations are, naturally, higher than ours, but you really should be enjoying where you are at the moment. Being top of the league and unbeaten for a game or 2 doesn't come along too often. Difficult looking in from the outside why so many of you appear to be such worriers. I think you, Preston and our good selves have a similar run of difficult looking matches coming up. We'll all know a bit more come Xmas

We only had a six point lead over Peterborough, Preston and Swindle always had games in hand so that was a false position.
