JM91
Simple Poll, and to be honest, looking forward to seeing people's views on the matter. I'm exiled rather far from Bristol, and with the prospect of a Wembley final, have been quizzed on how often we reach finals and generally about the level of success we get down here! Anyway, conversation turned to the FA Cup, and how in 120 years we have reached the final just once. I'm sure most are aware, but we wore a blue shirt, white shorts and blue socks for the match. I'm intrigued as to whether people would welcome this back?

JM91
Nop. However I'd welcome a gold and black away shirt. With maroon too like the old Bedminster shirt?
spudski
I'm very much into making 'traditions' and making a Club stand out. We wear red and white at home...as do many other Clubs. We've worn numerous different coloured away shirts over the years all very similar to other teams. For me...the Purple and Lime combo...should become our traditional alternate kit. I'd like to think that when people see it...they automatically think of Bristol City. If you see Blue and white quarters...apart from feeling sick, you automatically know who it is. We need something to define us...we are too much alike to many other teams. Red and white at home. Purple and Lime away And a third kit can be changed every year to whatever colour is popular with the fans.
candygram for mongo
Never. In my opinion there should be no Blue on anything associated with Bristol City
Slacker
No blue ever.I am still dismayed at seeing Scott Murray in the blue Adidas training kit.

ciderup
We wore blue in the final and LOST! Never, never, never. As mentioned above, I never want to see anything blue associated with BCFC.

Bar BS3
I wouldn't mind a dark navy blue away shirt. Something like Scotland's home kit. Looks smart and has nothing to do with Rovers' blue.
RedRock
Pulis wore blue shorts on his first day media interviews, SoD wore a blue tracksuit top to most matches. We don't do blue. Nuff said.
Bristol Rob
Can we have a 'don't care' option?
Malago
Our away kit, imho, should always be white top, black shorts, black socks with a red trim at the top.
Calculus
Bristol rugby now have a red shirt as their away strip. Personally wouldn't mind their home strip as our away one - navy blue and white. The blue is nothing like the Gas version, but who cares about what they do anyway? GodEmperor Palpatine
Rather than "would you welcome..." perhaps the question should be "would you be offended by....." Either way, I'd have no objection. I'd ditch the putrid purple and lime though. Agree with the bottom sentence, cant stand that kit.
Admin Ian M Posted December 14, 2014 Admin Report Share Posted December 14, 2014 I've voted no to blue but wouldn't mind if it wasn't a Rovers' blue as for example someone else has put the Scotland blue or perhaps the Man City blue. Man U still use blue for example, they just avoid the City shade.
Spike
No, one football team have blue as a primary colour in Bristol and it's not us. We're Bristol City, we wear red, we should play in red and if we can't I'd rather we played in the purple and lime than blue.
Izza
Can the Admin please tell me how many of the YES votes were posted by CITY fans, it's possible to see who voted in vBulletin, not sure with this software though.
MarcusX
Why are no and never two different options? I can't imagine anyone is a "no - but I might change my mind in a few years"
RedM
Home will always be red, but as I've said before what better way to rub their noses in it than to claim a blue as our own. Bristol Blue, a dark Bristol rugby navy blue and white would be fine by me as an away shirt.

T R
Hope we never go down this route by having blue as our kit. Who knows where it might lead us.http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Thames/Thames.htm
ciderup
I can't believe people are contemplating blue, even taking the mick! Bristol football and blue are associated with the non leaguers. Ask them to wear red and see what answer you would get? Never, never, never put City in anything even resembling blue!! Maybe I'm getting old but over my dead body should City EVER wear any shade of that colour!
Aaron-Bcfc
I don't want it to happen. However, if it did it then I'd only accept it if it was for some sort of link with Bristol Rugby ie we wear a dark blue away kit and they wear a red one, the two clubs have became closely linked since Bristol Sport was created so wouldn't be shocked to see it happen. spudski
I'd like to see our 'third' kit be mainly white, but incorporate both red and blue...so why not show a nod to our friends Willem II ;-)

It is a red and white and white and black one.

Willem II playing in red, white and blue stripes, if you get my drift.
