054123
So 40% of the viewing public honestly felt that the best player on the pitch today was Winston Reid? My god, what an ignorant bunch they must be.

CiderHider
All 3 should have been City players in the first place. BBC tokenism
chipdawg
I thought he was to be fair. The next 4 or 5 players I'd have picked were City players, but Reid was the difference

The Fat Controller
Winston Reid, in my opinion, was the difference between us going ahead in the first half and not. Very solid assured performance. Not surprised others are supposedly in for him. For what its worth, I think all of ours played well. Smith (K), Bryan, Ayling and Freeman the pick of the bunch. RedYoshi
Only when presented with the choice of him, Freeman, and M Smith. The other Smith should've been in there really, and both Bryan and Ayling could stake a claim.
CiderHider
No way! Bryan was the best player today, Reid aye OK he had a good game, but marking JET is not like marking Messi, JET almost marks himself

WhistleHappy
Lets not lose any sleep over it. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz .... who cares? ....(if I did care though I'd disagree with a nominated shortlist .. should be a free choice from all players who've taken to the field... totally public voting)
Welcome To The Jungle
Reid was good but acting like a **** rolling around in front of the Atyeo
City1984
Short pulling, back nudging fall to the ground like he's been shot and tried to con the ref at regular intervals tosser. Yes definitely a contender for MoM award in the sad times modern football.

Aizoon
For me he was MoM, but it's odd to have one from Wham and 3 from us. Pretty obvious who's going to win that, isn't it?
Between heaven and hell
Without a shadow of doubt Alex Song was our best player in the first half, I was gutted when he was subbed his passing to our players was always consistent and accurate. Robbored
West Ham have far more supporters than we do. The weight of numbers made all the difference.
pongo88
It's very difficult for City supporters watching the match at the ground to be objective. Most focus on City players. If you're a neutral, or watching on TV where you get replays etc, you get a different perspective.
Slacker
Reminds me of the "Goal of the round"thing in the JPT.Have our players one every round?
kiwicolin
He is a good player but I think Bryan was the man of the match. Ran all day long and put in good crosses. Reid let me down today , as a fellow Kiwi , diving after Jets tackle. Bryan just got up carried on
BRISTOL86
So 40% of the viewing public honestly felt that the best player on the pitch today was Winston Reid? My god, what an ignorant bunch they must be. Don't know what game you were watching mate but he was clearly their best player by a mile and probably the best player on the pitch. RedUn
Assessed over the minutes Reid didn't have his hands full of Matt Smith's shirt he was no better than anyone else.
BS4 on Tour...
The MOM award is surely the most overrated, meaningless award in footy?! Often 'voted' by the match sponsors in league games and always given to home players, how obvious is that?! Really can't believe anyone would 'rig' a Man of the Match vote!! I mean, who actually remembers anyone who has ever won a MOM award for a particular game? (actually for some strange reason I do actually remember Peter Hucker winning MOM at the 1986 League Cup Final, really dunno why I remember that so perhaps it shoots my argument down in flames! Happy Sunday all!)
cidered abroad
My City player of the match was Korey Smith. Brilliant at nicking the ball. How have we got him, as he is top end of the Championship quality.

We don't want to bring him to the attention of higher division clubs! Although some must be taking note of his performances this season.
