samo II Posted January 25, 2015 Report Share Posted January 25, 2015 Despite sometimes being a bit one dimensional by going to Smith, the lesson for me is that we are too thin up top, and that once Smith goes hom, we MUST replace him. JET wasn't on form today, but was far from a passenger; the whole team had to be very disciplined. But it worries me how long Wilbraham has been out, because we seriously need a physical presence in the system we play, and without Smith or Wilb, unless Agard and JET can find some understanding, we could look very flimsy up top come the end of Feb. Phileas Fogg Posted January 25, 2015 Report Share Posted January 25, 2015 I think we missed Wilbraham today. Smith had a fairly good game but we could have done with Wilbraham's guile and experience. I also feel we need a plan B, on another day the plethora of chances that Smith had today would have equaled a goal or two, but wasn't that effective. Impressed overall, this team is young and will grow. The core ability is there, just can be a bit naive at times. Positive display and probably was the best result for us. Really like Wagstaff and think he is a very good player to have in our squad who won't usually let yo down but he was definitely having a quick siesta when they scored.
