JudgeRed
Garland, Galley, Lansdown. Oscar. are all brilliant ideas. I have also in the last 6 months made contact with Jan Moller (Sweden & Bristol City) goalkeeper. Jan is a keen follower of Bristol City. I have put him in touch with DL to arrange a visit next season.
1960maaan
It's not really a new stadium, revamped one on the same site. No need for too much fanfare and ribbon cutting. But any opportunity to say thanks publicly to Steve Lansdown should be taken and maximised... It may not be a new stadium but it has (the rebuild) coincided with a new feel at/around the club. On the pitch obviously things have improved , but off it signs the club are listening and trying to get things right. With luck a decent (always hesitate using that word now) season next year and we will be going into a new season with hope of challenging at the right end of the Championship with a fully open and functioning stadium. Totally agree about thanking SL , there could be an open day..... Oscar and SL little ceremony , live music (wurzles or Massive Attack) , local acts and freedom to walk around the ground to have a nose and ending with a friendly match. This would be a great chance to get links with Willem 11 (can only help with scouting in that area ) , invite loads of ex-players. The old Div 1 team , Jackie , Ivan, Terry Cooper etc wandering around doing signings would be great. I think they should make a big thing of it as it makes City higher profile to possible new fans and may tempt older fans back. Plus it will really piss the squatters off

WhistleHappy
Michael McIndoe in a Benny Hill style chase, being hotly pursued by dozens of irate ex footballers !! The chasing pack in football kit, carrying truncheons, blowing whistles and wearing policemans helmets .... yeah, that'd look pretty funny, chasing up and down the new South Stand in and out of the aptly named 'vomitories'. pongo88
The opening should be in two parts. First, the general stadium opening by the man who has made it all possible - Steve Lansdown. The second part should involve each vormitory being officially opened, one by one, by Dolly.

kiwicolin
I would have the Ashton Gate eight because if it wasn't for them , we would have no club at all. For my partner it would be Alan Dicks, the only manager to take the club to the top flight,
