Aizoon
So, what's the prediction? Will the Gas reach the lofty heights of the Fourth Division? Or will they blow it in Sir Colin of Mansfield fashion?
BRISTOL86
Sadly I think they'll do it. But I live in hope.

Malago
The Mariners will leave the Blue Few all at sea and up a creek without a paddle. Or they'll be left feeling they've been given a slap across the face by a wet fish.
Aizoon
Or they'll be left feeling they've been given a slap across the face by a wet fish. Is there not a plaice for Grimsby in the Fourth Division?
Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Think they will win , comfortably Yes they will....and then next season, when it sinks in that they are no longer a big fish in a small pond, some of them will secretly pine for the days when they could go to some village, take over the local pub and meet welcoming locals who are actually impressed by 'the mighty Gas' with 'da famous quarterz'. slartibartfast
I'm having a BIG punt on NLBR (so big I won't be telling the mrs) Win-win, but I won't be that happy if I pick up !
Red-Robbo
Is there not a plaice for Grimsby in the Fourth Division? Cod is on their side. There's a berth in the basement and they should fillet.

I've got 7/2 the double with Swindle... Might as well collect to ease the disappointment on them both going up....
GodEmperor Palpatine
I'm sure if they win, the likes of Dancing Danny and Pepsi will be infesting the forum spouting that it will be only a matter of time before they will takeover us. Go Mariners.
redcityman
Hopefully come next weekend we'll have pictures of dopey crying again and the blue few floundering in Grimsbys' wake. Saying that I just have a feeling though that they'll spawn their way up.
dilligaf
Cod is on their side. There's a berth in the basement and they should fillet. My mate is a Grimsby fan. If they go up he'll be the life and sole of the party.
Marina's Rolls Royce
Yes - they may well become League by name But they will always be non league by nature. Should Grimsby win- I'll celebrate at the Sainsbury's fish counter in Winterstoke Rd

WhistleHappy
For any non-league team succeeding in getting trout of the conference and re-plaice-ing Cheltenham /Tranmere in the basement league must feel like a bream come true.

redsquirrel
grimsby are no minnows, bigger than your normal small fry, therefore i think a draw with penalty drama and fuddy pucking up a save watching the ball roll over the line to keep the carp in the league they belong. up the grimsby, i do love fish, especially at the counter in sainsburys

Red-Robbo
Yep, there'll be no return to the bass-ment for Mr Dandy Pirate and the rest of those (s)prats. They'll be trawling the depths of non-league football for some time yet. Assuming their chub-by chairman doesn't leave them high and dry that is. Most of their fans seem to fall for his carp hook line and sinker though! It could be fin for them next season. Harry Haddock's boys will batter them.
