Lanterne Rouge
In true Somerset fashion we let them off the hook. 69 and counting for the seventh wicket.

Midred
Always amazes me how the keeper and fielders directly behind the batsman can tell exactly where the ball hits the pad and the direction of the ball when it hits the pad. ie - passing the stumps or staying in line. A bit like diving in the penalty area?
Midred
Plaque unveiled at the County ground today. A special tribute to David Foot who wrote for Somerset as well as City.

Port Said Red
Gloucestershire were in a similar position to Somerset for the first couple of days of their match, but they are right back in it now and have a good chance of setting an achievable run chase tomorrow. They seem to do well at those usually.

We certainly are and that’s why we prefer to bowl first. It’s a travesty we didn’t get into Division One after five early-season wins, and I really don’t understand the point for the other two divisions when the title is the only thing to play for.

In the last two overs, they actually had ten men around the bat, with Dom Bess adopting the Marcus Trescothic tactic of fielding on his knees. Great fun and great tension of the sort you can only get in the longer forms of the game. It's something that is difficult to explain to non cricketing people.
