AshtonGreat
I read today that the women players are allowed a ten-minute break between sets because of the hot weather, but the men aren't. Another example of the inequality in tennis these days. Women should play five sets or not get the same prize money
JBFC II
So, the first week is over and in the men's draw nearly all of the top seeds are through. The only main player out is Nishikori who pulled out through injury. Andy Murray is the only Brit left in both sides of the draw as Heather Watson and James Ward had third round exits. In the woman's side there have been more shocks with the 2nd and3rd seeds, Petra Kvitova and Simona Halep being knocked out. Serena came very close to being scared by Heather Watson but came through in three. Other main casualties include Ana Ivanovic, Elena Makarova, Angelique Kerberos and last years finalist Euginie Bouchard
