Bucksred has died

I'm so sorry to have to tell you all this, but I've just had a phone call from Bucksreds wife Sharon who told me that Bucksred has died this afternoon from a massive heart attack.

He hadn't been ill, hadn't shown any signs of any issues, and was out in the garden today when he collapsed and died in front of Sharon. The paramedics got there quickly but were unable to save him.

Sharon has asked me to pass on this horrible news. Bucks was a good friend of mine, an active member on here, as well as in the chatroom on a match day.  I can't believe it.  He was a retired serviceman who fought in the gulf war, and in the Falklands.

She asked me to say that we should all live life to the full, as you never know what's round the corner.

rest in peace mate, was honoured to have known you.

(Bucks is the guy in the black shirt, next to me)

I'm absolutely shocked to the core, can't believe it.

He was a great chatroom friend. I never did meet him but always believed I would one day. Deepest condolences to his wife who he often chatted about very fondly. I'll really, really mss him and his banter. He loved a chat and I loved his life experiences. All the best Bucks, love Em x

Such sad news. One of the most colourful and knowledgeable posters on the forum for many years, and not just about football.

Always got on well with him on the forum and remember jokingly arranging to meet him on the centre circle after the Rotherham promotion match but unfortunately never found him in the crowds.

RIP Bucks. Condolences to the family.

Sad news. What's unfortunate, due to the fact that most posters are anonymous, is that someone could pass away and nobody on the forum would know.  It would only be after a while that someone might say "I wonder what happened to what's his name?"

I didn't know him personally, but shocked at his sudden death.

Puts a 50 page thread about us possibly signing an overhyped, overpaid striker, who thinks he is better than he probably is , and doesn't really want to be here in the first place, into perspective.

By comparison, Bucksred loved being here, his value to BCFC is priceless and he is irreplaceable.

R.I.P. fellow red.
