,IIs doing a er financially tha n  the museubuildingm was? Something Is told by someone who works t here.

I'd assume so given the commercialisation of it, nice building, facilities etc its quite nice, but Bristols Industrial Heritage it aint, not in the same way the original authentic one was anyway.

Its like a traditional British beer skittlkes & darts pub, cheese & onion/ham rolls, crisps & peanuts munchies etc, getting a makeover gutted and turned into a gastro with selections of yuppie cocktails, mood lighting, posh bogs complete with Dyson air blade hand dryers etc etc, nowt wrong with that each to their own, but not at the expense of killihg tradition ...

Have these people got nothing better to do?

They've gotta justify the jobs of their marketing team!!

And experience tells me they would have paid a fortune to some design agency to come up with that new logo.

Ford for example paid an agency £36k to come up with the name Fusion for one of their models!!! Surely having an internal competition amongst the guys n gals in all their factories would have come up with a name as good as that, with perhaps £5k to the winner?!

Always thought Vauxhall missed a trick in the nineties too, should have released a Vauxhall 'Champagne Super' Nova when Oasis were strutting about!

A Vauxhall Viagra would have been interesting too!

One keyboard slip away from accidentally being 'EDL' and the logo looks like it represents an energy company. Meh. Just like the introduction of the new 'National League' this season (also stupid given than two of the divisions aren't national) – it will always be the Conference to me...

What an incomprehensible statement! Why would anyone complain that saying English is racist? To the best of my knowledge nobody ever has complained about it before so why anybody should think they will start over the renaming of a football league is beyond me.

Have you been living on another planet ???

You can't even hang a union jack out without complaints .

No, I've been living entirely on this planet where nobody has ever claimed the word 'English' is racist.

A minority of people are uncomfortable with overuse of the Union Jack, but that is entirely the fault of some far right groups that have misappropriated the flag to further their racist causes. The flag itself is not, and never has been, racist.

Eh, like it!

I'm sure this rebranding will have cost a small fortune and will have lined many a pocket.  Won't make an iota of difference unless what's on offer is tangibly different.

I could have come up with that logo in an afternoon.

I could've come up with that logo as quick as it takes to draw it

Looks remarkably like , well , a football .

So to jazz up the English Football league we'll call it ' the English Football League ' but because supporters are too stupid to read we'll just use the Initials and , here it  is , the big plan , to transmit our goals and values in a logo , we'll design a football .

freaking genius !
