Aden Flint at the free kick. Was the ref correct?

Recommended Posts

A referee can ASK a player to do whatever he wants. Flint wasn't committing a foul, but it's not going to provide the kind of advantage that's worth getting on the wrong side of the ref for

As for Agard, it was very harsh to be judged a dive, but if that was given as a penalty against us I'd think it to be pretty soft

Can stand where he wants, just he'll get flagged offside if deemed to have interfered with play, Man Utd recently have been putting 2 or 3 men infront of the keeper and have them sprint forward just before the balls kicked in an attempt to get onside.

If you took a still image of Tom Daley you could make it look like someone tripped him up while he was stood next to a swimming pool.

Doesn't prove anything.

Why does the ref not have to give a reason WHY he did not give a a penalty.like they did years ago.when they faced the press

If this is what we need to resort to to score goals we have a problem.

I'm wondering why the new manager, with his contacts, hasnt signed a striker to support kodjia?

Because he's been here a month, maybe?

Or perhaps because in that month (and that was February, so wasn't even 30 days) he's not even had that full period to bring in players (baring in mind the loan window only opened on 9 Feb)?

I cannot believe people are seriously using the fact our new head coach has mentioned he believes he has good contacts in the game as a reason to give him a kicking over this.

It's not like everyone else has been snapping up quality strikers left, right and centre, is it?

And besides; LJ has been in charge for five games, three of which we've won, and across which our main striker has notched three, a total it took him twelve games to achieve under our previous manager.

It's a little rich to be slagging LJ after 30 days for not bringing in one of the most difficult type of players to uncover in football when we've not managed to effectively retool our whole forward line prior to his arrival.

And if you want to talk about contacts at the top level, I suggest you look at the players loaned on at Barnsley; Pearson (now at Preston), Fletcher, Toney, Isgrove, Crowley - plenty of youth players from the Premier League who arrived at that club with varying degrees of success.

Find it hilarious the lengths those determined to find reasons to put the boot in to LJ will go without engaging any kind of reasoning.  Hate truly is a powerful thing.

It is a leap year though. Johnson out.
