HLR
Emailed QPR asking if there was any way they would consider giving bottom tier, they said point it was a point blank no - "operations department and local police advised not to allocate lower tier to the visiting team for this fixture". So there we have it Guessing the Birmingham shenanigans a few weeks back may have had some bearing on this, especially as there have been flashpoints with the Met and City fans at QPR
RedM
I understand QPR have been approached numerous times by the club, well before the tickets went on sale, to ask for more. Met with a firm 'no' each time. They really have tried.
shepton red
I am sure someone has the stats, but what was the number of city arrests when we last played QPR? if the bottom tier holds 1000 seats, X £25 (average), minus the additional cost (policing and stewards) plus the additional match day revenue, approx £25000 profit QPR are potentially kissing off? Seems barking that with a demand for tickets against a fairly small risk of trouble, the police advice takes precedence. Perplexed.
