You'd also imagine that the whoever was putting these training devices around the ground would make sure they got them all back. The costs for whoever was at fault are going to be enormous. (Staffing on the day, food and drink, fans travel expenses, refunded tickets etc)..
Charliesboots
Incredible story now, however earlier today the hundreds of Police and Stewards who went about their work thinking it was a real bomb including many who would have put their personal safety at risk is commendable. The evacuation of that number of people, safely and without incident is a credit too. Finally you would think that if the security forces training this week would have a basic process of counting out the fake devices and counting back in the fake devices to prevent such an incident? RumRed
What an embarrassment. Can't be that difficult to count in fake bombs and count them out again.

Tauntonian
Sorry but what terrorist is going to leave a bag with wires clearly hanging out of it? if they wanted to cause an explosion they would have. it looks very suspicious to me.

Chivs
What a coincidence! In the context of Hillsborough very recently concentrating focus on corrupt police forces... Something (doesn't) happens that shows how commendable our police forces are at dealing with 'suspicious devices'.
Charliesboots
United confirmed that they will be refunding all tickets for today's game and giving season ticket holders a game credit. Said to cost the club £3M. Should be giving all Bournemouth supporters their travel expenses and offering to cover the replay too.
wayne allisons tongues
If man utd knew there was a training exercise. I would if I was the league give Bournemouth the points due to the sheer incompetency of the club. Pay each Bournemouth fan travel back as well as ticket. Shocking that a training programme on there ground with there ok caused this much inconvenience to everyone.
