I think we bid big for him at the time, but he went to Newcastle and never reached the heights I thought he could have. If you are talking about Lomana Lua Lua, he is retired now, but all details on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lomana_LuaLua Kazenga Lua Lua is a midfielder for Brighton. Had a purple patch in the Prem with Reading but I'd thought he'd do a lot better than what he actually has. Slowly filtered through the leagues after numerous loan spells. 31 and without a club after being released by Yeovil. Some fall from grace

Yes, he then went on to manage Weston, then came back to Clevedon.
MarcusX
Not sure if it's been said yet but Michael mancienne. On loan to QPR from Chelsea played against us at the gate in our first game back in the championship in the play off final season looked completely different class, yet did a bit of "a caulker"

Port Said Red
One I saw at the start of their career and did go on to greater things, I remember thinking when he was at Cambridge that Jon Taylor wouldn't have scored half as many goals without Dion Dublin along side him. 054123
Steven Gillespie in all the friendlies that year. Bradley Orr was also brilliant behind the strikers. Didn't Bradley play upfront for Newcastle in the youth team?
Ivorguy
I really rated Jordan Wynter after a game at Gillingham Even remarked to my wife that we had seen a future international star Injuries or lifestyle seem to be the undoing of so many young stars. Trust we are better set up now on both counts. As for City players. I really thought Brian Clarke would outshine his father and rival Atyeo as a City striker. Two forgotten City stars who barely get a mention who came to us as their careers were winding down - Chris Crowe from Forest and Arthur Milton from The Arsenal
Bristol Rob
We should do a similar thread on posters to this message board who started out with an interesting and fresh perspective on things before taking a dull, single track view and before you knew it, you'd just see the name of the author and skip over it!
