Morning folks!

Football is back!

And to kick off the beginning of preseason, the lads are off to Lansdown Towers for a 5 course meal and a kick about in his backyard against Guernsey FC.

So what can I tell you about Guernsey? It's near Jersey. You don't have to pay UK tax. They have blue postboxes (:gasmask:) and is known for its Freesias. 

On to Guernsey FC. It's a relative toddler of a club at just 6 years old and is chaired by Mark Le Tissier - brother of Matt. You know who he is... apparently Matt played for them too. Once.

They play at Foote Lane, a 5,000 seater stadium. Relatively big for a club at step 8 in the football pyramid... 

 

So on to today. A 22 man squad and a game tomorrow suggests a hark back to LJ's tombola days. Expect to see Eros Pisano cussing everyone in Italian. Don't be surprised if people are played out of position either. 

 

@AdamB is going to provide updates via twitter. So will copy tweets on here for those not using that platform.

Erm. @BigTone can have that particular pleasure. And the Champions League. I'll stick with the FA Cup and Carabao/Carling/Worthington Cup.
