EFL Kit Poll on Twitter NOW IN THE FINAL!

You may remember the other day, we won our group on Twitter, beating Reading, Mansfield Town and Scunthorpe.

Well you might be pleased to know we cruised through the quarters by beating Brentford with a nice 59% of the vote.

So now we are in the semis and we are up against our toughest challenge yet, Bradford City, and their kit is smart as paint this year tbf.

But the chance of making the final against Sheffield United or Notts Forest (both superb vintage looking kits) is too hard to ignore... so if you are on Twitter, you know what to do... result in 7 hours...

Umm am I missing the point of this..? Who gives a toss what people on twitter think of our (or anyone else's) kit..?

Is there some sort of prize,  or just the "honour" of having had more of our own fans vote on our kit that other clubs have had their fans (limited to fans who are A) on Twitter & B) can be bothered to vote for a preferred kit)

I really like our new kit. I'd say Forests was the same but slightly nicer. Not seen Sheffield Utd's.

It's really just a bit of fun. But we never win anything and tbf, the purple and lime is kinda unique to us now...

Be great for the club's commercial team to be able to spin it as our "award winning kit" ;)

So is it home or away kits..?

I've been undecided about buying one. I usually buy one but never actually wear it.

However, if it was "award winning", then I might buy 2..!

Ours is the away kit, as is Bradford's.

Should we make it to the final, it's our away kit against either Notts Forest or Sheffield United's home kits.

Now it sounds even more pointless & stupid!

Having a bad day? It's a bit of light hearted fun on social media. No one gets hurt by it.

Bit bored, waiting for next Saturday.

I was just wondering what the point was. Just seems odd to be comparing home kits Vs away kits.

Have fun!

So we're in the final against Sheffield United!  We won with more votes against Bradford than Sheffield United got in their semi against Forest so by my expert calculations.. we should have this one so long as there's not a December-like cockup whenever the final is.. played?  You re.. purples!

I don't know, I'm worried about them catching us.

Was gonna use the laughing reaction to this but thought the trophy was more fitting.

It's not the just the kit we are voting for it's the players, come on ours are pretty georgeous,  and that's without the help of Maggy. Look at our beautiful stadium in the background. Who can resist!  Sheffield  Utd have no chance!

Is it just me or is the fella at the front for Sheffield looking super scary? I mean Flinty looks intimidating anyway but this Sheffield lad looks like you've just insulted his old dear and now he's going to eat your kidneys...

There is a time & place for this.

Usually under the duvet, moments before you get out of bed and leave the mrs to suffer.

Sorry if it's already been posted elsewhere!

Our away kit is up against Sheffield United's home kit for best kit of the season.

You know what to do...

EDIT just been merged

Voted for you, and posted on Owlstalk.

Our new home kit isn't going to be revealed till the end of August. Complete shambles.

Just wait till you find out it isn`t blue and white mate!

Probably something radical like getting rid of the Blue & White stripes.

Replacing them with just a White shirt, with some Blue stripes down it..!

You actually aren't far off, it's going to be solid blue with white sleeves. A lot of the fans are going to hate it.

Well retro then, you used to wear that in the 60s and 70s IIRC

UEFA investigation underway.

Result declared 26 minutes before deadline, they want to know why it wasn't known 2 years before.

Oh no, same percentage split as the referendum. Wonder if Sheffield United will keep protesting to get another vote until they get the result they want.

Or, say that we can keep the accolade, but out of respect for the views of the 48% who voted the other way our kit has to be changed to red and white stripes.

Champions - just awaiting announcement of prize but I reckon it will be UEFA cup place - LJ knew all along !!

No chance. They'll get told that the views of the 48% count for absolutely nothing, that if they dare to speak again they'll be traitors and saboteurs, and they'll be forced to play in purple and green every week whether they like it or not. Will of the people!

You missed out Sheffield`s favourite son, a certain current Cardiff manager.

So our kits have finally been revealed today. Don't think either would have been a danger to you in this competition. I think the away one is possibly the worst football shirt I've ever seen.

Don't mean to be rude here OV . You're home kit looks like Ipswich towns . You're away kit is horrendous. Sorry

Completely agree. They've been made in house at apparently £2.50 per shirt, so unsurprisingly the quality looks terrible. The away shirt looks like one of those template kits you buy from JJB for your Sunday league or 5-aside team.

This in our 150th Anniversary year as well :sad26:.

I honestly thought Sunday league for your away shirt. Anyway can't do much about it now. How you rating your chances for the season

We've only signed one player so far so not much improvement which is slightly worrying. The biggest concern is the defence. We only have 2 CBs at the club and are in desperate need for a couple more, we are expected to sign Johan Djourou in the next few days if you remember him from his Arsenal days.

Most Wednesday fans seem to be predicting us to miss out on the top 6 this season. I feel the same, but If one of our big name strikers can finally start firing we might be able to mount a challenge. If we aren't in contention by Christmas though, I could see there being a change in manager.

Can't wait for it all to start though and especially looking forward to the derbies.

Fair play. Noticed Wednesday have been quite in the market. But still 4 weeks to go . Personally I think you will be challenging top 6 . Best of luck. Don't mind the owls. Old school

Plus Phil Oakey (The Human League lead singer for our lot younger viewers) wrote a song about a talking Sheffield Wednesday shirt. It turned out to be prophetic.......

£2.50? And they are flogging them for about £55? Blige, what a mark up...

Mind you, ours probably cost the same to make...
