Whilst it's clearly Villa who have done well to slow the game down (not a tactical move by us). It's probably good for us overall when we play at that kind of tempo for the first 45 we seem to tire in the 2nd half.

Since they switched to 4-4-2 they have dominated play...concerned for the second half, but we have held our own

Lack of composure and some poor decision making in final third really letting us down.

Famara has to do better too easy for JT and Samba.

Since Bruce changed it they have started to boss it a bit,good first half tho,now it's time for Johnson to earn his corn,keep the same and it's curtains.COYR

We've looked fairly decent in the first half, without really testing their keeper at all. Glad to see Smith looking good. 

Lets hope we can play at least that well second half too.

HT 0-0.  We had the better of it until Villa changed formation, since then been pretty even. Paterson been disappointing for 3rd game in a row, otherwise decent performances across the pitch including good saves and takes from Frankie.

Worry is Bruce will highlight where Villa can improve at HT, and LJ won't react.

Think we have done ok that half. Villa are a decent side, and for me we shaded it. Not really a game of endless chances, and we are struggling to break down a decent defence. Equally, we have kept them fairly quiet.

Think last ten Villa just starting to edge on top, so we may need a good second half.

Agreed. Famara needs to do more. We've been unlucky with JT getting away with the hand balls. But there was a concerning lack of cutting edge to follow on from the good possession we had there. Plus a little too much of our defenders backing off in the final third.

Although on the whole a positive first half.

I think he is doing ok... I just think he needs a nippy striker up top with him - as much as I rate Bobby.

We didn't have a clear cut chance, how can we lack composure if we didn't have a clear sight of goal? The link between midfield and attack is where we lacked.

Solid performance so far. Couple of chances created while limiting villa to not a lot. Not sure what people expect. Pack looking strong in the middle. Fam is doing ok, should have had a couple of fouls. 

NO NEED FOR A NEW NUMBER 1.

Agreed needs subbing. For a big lad looks very weak. I think he needs some serious training and he could become a decent player. Let's look at Cauley

Agree.

However, faster decision making near the Villa area is needed, if we want to score.
