Pisano injured in training yesterday , nothing serious though. Wright , travelling round the world , knackered , gives flint a chance. Didn't hear the reason for pack giving way for brownhill. Personally I'd of gone for pack and brownhill. I know marlon isn't that mobile but would deliver a better ball on the counter attack imo. Anyone with a different view ? Amanda Holden said Pack was tactical tweak Quote Link to comment

You could argue that both Eliasson and Leko offer the most potential than anyone playing today. Agree with this don't think today's side has enough going forward and far from convinced with COD. Hope he proves me wrong! 1 Quote Link to comment

CliftonCliff
The injury to Pisano is unfortunate, but what little I've seen of Vyner doesn't suggest he's about to let anyone down. Flint needs no motivating anyway, but imagine he'll be even more fired up than usual. I'm OK with that back line in the circumstances. All three orthodox wingers are in the squad - COD, Leko & Eliasson - so plenty of pace if we're forced to chase the game late on, as seems likely. It could be worse. 1 Quote Link to comment

Please clarify what you base Eliasson being one of our best players on..? 2 Quote Link to comment

cidered abroad
Vyner will be ok and it's good that the u23 right back is picked instead of shuffling players out of position. Interesting selection of Brownhill in central midfield. Quote Link to comment

Andy082005
We are going to get slaughtered down the right hand side if it's O'dowda and Vyner... 1 Quote Link to comment
cityexile
Readings home form as good as our away form is poor, bogey team for us and I am not hugely excited to see our line up. 1-0 to us then. 1 Quote Link to comment

COD...well needs to prove his international class Diedhiou needs a goal today. All in all, not that inspiring of a team....but hey.....LJ will get all the plaudits if this team gets a win. If Pack is dropped it's very odd. We should build the team around him as defensive central midfielder. 2 Quote Link to comment

What difference does it make? Never effected me when I played. And hasn't he been studying our game DVDs so should know out pattern of play from them. I think Eliasson has the potential to be one of our best players. I have based that on watching him, erm, play football. The important bit highlighted. O'Dowda is much more solid defensively, Eliasson has cost us 2 goals already because his defensive game needs work. Quote Link to comment

Good to see Brownhill in the middle, but not been impressed by what I have seen of Smith or CoD so far this season. Hopefully not a case of LJ over thinking it, as he was prone to some times last season. We will see soon enough. Fingers crossed! 2 Quote Link to comment
