petehinton
What an unbelievable talent we have on our hands. 21 years of age and an accomplished appearance against a Premier League side. Didn’t look a touch out of place. Absolutely superb all season. Tie him down to as long a contract as we can.

Nibor
He's got better and better. For me he should be starting in the middle with Korey when everyone is fit.

Red Army 87
Getting better with every game almost. I was as surprised as most at the premier league links in the summer, but we are starting to see that quality now.
SedRA
Yep the kids getting better and better with every game. I did comment at the beginning of the season that with a sustained run of games in the centre Josh could become a dominant player at champ level. Hopefully he continues to impress. We've got to tie him down to a new contract ASAP!
CodeRed
Keith Millen - co commentating on RB - picked josh out as one he was impressed with. Good passing, good aggression, good positionaly ,according to KM. He also liked Joe, Famara (before he went off) and Milan.

stephenkibby.
Yeah, watched him play his first game in a pre season game against Granada. He won a 40/60 challenge and commented on here we have a player. Was amassed to reed from some on here that he wasn't rated. The boy is a real player. RaspberryRed
Yes absolutely different class and he can mix it. Fronted up a few tonight and he was 1st on the scene with big AF when it all kicked off after the red cards at the weekend

Superb tonight. Brownhill, Bryan, Flint, Baker, Pato. All doing the right things to make that step up a League. BobBobSuperBob
Looking our best £ for £ investment ? £150k wasn't it Would suggest we'd end up getting 40/50 times that if we were to sell , at least

Lrrr
Wouldn't be surprised for a team to be interested in him in Jan, hopefully we can get him on a longer contract before then.
BS15_RED
His composure and use of the ball are top drawer. Never panics and seldom gives it away.

But Josh was still winning all the 50/50s and calmly keeping possession. Of course after that everyones game went onto a whole new level. What I like about Josh is he always looks to move it forward. Whether he runs with the ball or passes it. I really can't think of a better midfield performance down the gate from a city player. Strange I guess but I saw it totally opposite. I thought the first 20-25 mins he was awful. He made about 5 or 6 simple errors (whether bad touch, bad pass, poor judgment). After 30 mins he was excellent, but the first 25 or so he was very poor I thought.
redsince1994
I think the best compliment for josh is that we all treat him as a senior player. When he has 6/10 performamnce we question his place in the team. If a 21 yo academy player was putting in those performances we wouldn't stop talking about him as a future england/prem player. Yes Harry we outplayed all over the pitch first 25mins. But Josh has energy and seems willing to learn. If were going to progress he's a keeper don't you think? Looked a class above the rest of our midfield. Honestly Jon. Don't get me wrong, I think Josh is a good player and certainly one to keep. But his first half hour today was riddled with errors. He was superb after that.

On another thread, you also say you don't rate Fammy. So although I don't want to be a dick, I'll quote a bit from your own words back to you. "poor judgment"

Brownhill made numerous errors in the first 25 mins, including moments of poor judgement. Famara, correct, I do not rate him - yet. I said in the other thread that he's improving but I'm still not in the convinced camp yet. Not sure why that is poor judgment. Quite simply, I've said Đurić did tonight what Famara has failed to do all season.
Lanterne Rouge
Quite simply superb tonight and an absolute joy to watch. My MOM easily although Joe, Matty and Milan ran him pretty close. He can be as good as he wants to be. Only 21 now and that is truly scary!
Shtanley
Honestly think he’ll go down as one of our greatest ever transfers if he stays around for a few years.
ZiderEyed
He harries and niggles and battles but can also spray passes around, looks calm and assured on the ball, can run with it, beats defenders. Like a mini-Gerrard.

Red-Robbo
One of Brownhill's stand-out games. And he's still a young player, he will get better! He's already made great strides on the raw but inexperienced talent he was last season. We could shortly have a real gem on our books. A great acquisition by the "cartel". I love the fact that, although he's quite a short and slight bloke, he gets stuck in. Great tackles this evening. Great link-up play. Everything you want to see from a player in his position.
